Non-TotalTech Members price is $249.99. I have had this since 2018. So far so good!

You must not live in a cold weather area. Being able to start up your car while inside, when your car is covered in snow, and freezing cold. That's the use case.

Insane deal! I think the best this has ever been was $120 2 years ago. I've got this installed on 4 cars so far, and it has never failed me.

Got this installed last year on a 2011 tahoe mainly because the factory key fob was crap & failed on me so I wanted a better key fob setup. it worked amazing, however I will say the factory oem remote start works better because there's a sensor that detects if the vehicle is cold or hot, & will determine what needs to happen when you start via remote like exhaust heat out the vehicle & add cool air or add heat & get the cabin warm. After adding this after market product, the key fob works flawless, lok, & feel amazing compared to the factory oem fob but keep in mind what ever you have your thermostat set to prior to shutting your vehicle off is what's going to be going on when you start the vehicle. so if you have the a/c on during a nice fall evening, & it's going to be a cool morning the next day, the a/c will be going when you use the remote start.

The DC3 is should be capable of doing the same thing. You'll need the thermistor and program the at the temp you want it to start.

I bought this last year for my wife's Lexus. 14mos later it stopped working. Install techs said the firmware was updated and new code broke it. They couldn't repair it. Even after buying an additional relay. Buyer beware.

Can anyone chime in on the likelihood of immediate or future issues if this is installed incompetently? I'm not mechanically inclined enough to understand how difficult of an install this would be on a 2022 vehicle for someone like a Best Buy auto technician.

Be careful you get the installation for free, but you will get some damage on your trims on stereo installations. It shouldn't be a big problem for a remote starter but you never know.
I don't know about that. I've had BB install car stereos for me and several of these remote starters, no damage to trim/dash or otherwise. And this is a remote starter, they aren't pulling apart your dash like they do for a stereo head unit.

Lastly, if you go to pick your vehicle up, and it is damaged...I would insist they (and expect them to) fix it. No different than for any other time your vehicle is serviced, anywhere else, no?

Can you still use your cars original FOB if you get this? Also does it work for Push/Start?
My original factory key FOB's still work fine, use them from April-Nov where I live. Works on my car with keyless ignition.
