Non-TotalTech Members price is $249.99. I have had this since 2018. So far so good!

You must not live in a cold weather area. Being able to start up your car while inside, when your car is covered in snow, and freezing cold. That's the use case.

Insane deal! I think the best this has ever been was $120 2 years ago. I've got this installed on 4 cars so far, and it has never failed me.

So this is really $339.00 ($199 + $140). I guess every company is copying Amazon with a membership fee...
I bought it without the membership for $249. So it's not $339.

Can I just buy Total Tech, get the deal, then refund Total Tech? It says there's a 60 return policy on Total Tech.
They give discounts like this for people who want to shell out for memberships... NOT for tightwads who want to abuse the system and ruin it for everyone else. Do I like these member only deals? NO! However, I am not the one running promotions or owner of the company. You want better deals? open your own business and then I hope you like dealing with people LIKE YOU!

Also, as I have already looked at terms of total tech membership, if you sign up, take advantage of pricing offers, and try to weasel out a cancelation, they will charge you for the amount of savings you incurred.

NO IDEA how you're coming to that price point. Price for non-tech members is $249.99... period. (plus tax).

If you're a tech member (meaning you already have purchased the one year) then you get to reap the savings of $110 and pay $139.99(plus tax)/

Dude your defending a multi-millon dollar company for free. Nobody cares about your sense of morals. You obviously don't know the answer.

How does this work on vehicles with turn key ignitions? Do you have to restart the vehicle even you get in?
It also has an anti-grind feature. Old systems from 20 years ago you get in the car and instinctively turn the key and starter rolls even though already started. These systems do not do that. I have one in a 2000 Chrysler can and had one in a 2014 Prius. Friends have in RAV4 and Corolla hybrid. No problems.

My original factory key FOB's still work fine, use them from April-Nov where I live. Works on my car with keyless ignition.
You should also test on OEM FOB

Lock, Lock, Lock or Lock, Unlock, Lock. Many techs will set to L Ul L as it's harder to screw up, but if the Compustar remote is dead a person can still use OEM to remote start - just have to know what they set it to. Believe LLL is default, but ya L Ul L is preferred so doesn't happen in pocket or just while trying to lock the vehicle.

Ordered and chose shipping. I don't see anything about free installation or how to schedule.

So if I purchase that harness and but this alarm from Best Buy will they install it being there site says it's not compatible in still a bit confused
This package is not an alarm. An alarm siren can be added to this. But in answer to your question, yes, buy it and take it into the autotech at your Best Buy. I have no clue why Best Buy's system says it's not compatible.

I have a 2015 Nissan Rogue that has two key fobs that stopped working at the same time. The only way the car works at all is by using a manual key in the driver side door and holding the key fob directly on top of the push button. I don't want to replace either one of them because I'm skeptical that they broke at the same time and it's way too much money.

Would this work to fix my problem? Or might there be something else?
The remote start would work, but you'd need to get in and hold the fob to the push button to drive away.

Do these work on latest Toyotas that charges subscription fee for remote start?
Yup.

I bought this last year for my wife's Lexus. 14mos later it stopped working. Install techs said the firmware was updated and new code broke it. They couldn't repair it. Even after buying an additional relay. Buyer beware.
The firmware in the brain cannot be updated remotely. So for whatever reason it stopped working, it wasn't due to a firmware update. Maybe you're talking about Drone? There was a snafu similar to what you're describing with Drone... but they also allowed free warranty exchanges for the new model.

Can anyone chime in on the likelihood of immediate or future issues if this is installed incompetently? I'm not mechanically inclined enough to understand how difficult of an install this would be on a 2022 vehicle for someone like a Best Buy auto technician.
If they're using a T-harness, not much could go wrong that would end in catastrophe.

The brain included with this bundle is not compatible with manual trans. The DC3 is included here, you need the CMX and the DAS-II sensor. But yes, it'll work.

From the local BBY? Call another one in a totally diff city/state. Pick a northern one that are doing these all the time. I've been to Maple Grove, MN, Eagen, MN, Woodbury, MN, Eden Prairie, MN

Get them to say, "ya, no problem - they're wrong". Not that you really want the "wrong" guy working on your stuff. But they are generally not a complex install and fun things can be added like turn on the rear defrost if "trunk" is held for 3 secs, etc. etc.

edit: If they say "no" ask them which product does work.

Bought this last year. Works great, 2 way start verification is obnoxiously loud, does not always confirm successful start even though it did.
