It's amazing how you might need another couple of feet. I had to use my truck to put a ladder on the bed so I could help my mother-in-law and her siding. Needless to say, a hammer fell on my head, and a trip to the immediate care. All because of a couple of feet (true story). :/
Is 4 more feet worth $60 more - price/ft is in favor of the 18 footer? I hate to buy the shorter one and need something taller occasionally. Btw, the weight difference is 6 lbs.

What is the vertical height of the ladder when propped against something at a safe angle? I want a high enough ladder to lean against my gutters which are 14' high.
Thanks OP. Missed out on the $99 18 ft ladder deal in my area.
Now the decision is
1) wait for the 18 ft ladder at Costco to go on sale again
2) buy this 22ft ladder (which will get a lot of use for my 2 story house)
Or
3) buy the 18 ft y at Lowe's for $134 https://www.lowes.com/pd/Little-G...1001038922

It's worth whatever you need it for. 18' is the max reach which is like 4-5' longer than the actual ladder itself so if you're going to use this to climb up on your roof then this one might be too short. If you're just using it as a step ladder then the 18' is equivalent to something like a 6' step ladder with a max reach of 11' for a moderately tall person.

If you look at the manual, they give the specifications for operations. They recommend it be leaning at a 75 degree angle. The ladder is technically 18' 10" straight up and down, which would give you a "safe" 22 foot reach once leaned against a wall.
Got a cancellation, might be in my location only:
"Unfortunately, the below items are out of stock, and we have canceled them from your order. We apologize for the inconvenience."
And if try to buy it again I get:
"The selected fulfillment is no longer available. Please make another selection."
