I think Shakespeare would want us to choose DDR5. It would be about $100-$200 more total to go with a DDR5 Motherboard+RAM combo over DDR4, if I am not mistaken.

DDR4 does not bother me, but I would want PCIe 5 for future gen GPU's.

Edit - this does have a PCIe 5 slot. I guess the Amazon product title is incorrect.

This will go perfectly with my 13600k. Used $50 rewards that I had with Amazon so I scored this for $110!

Sticking with ddr4 is better at this juncture given any iograde scraps the motherboard past 13th gen. The extra $100 saved now can be used for a better upgrade in 3-4yrs. Right now not much benefit going ddr5 without paying too much

DDR5 does have pretty obvious advantage on productivity applications though

TBH there is no right or wrong answer as to which route you should go. DDR4 will be around a few more years (Meteor Lake rumored not to release until 2024) its really comes down to what you plan to do with your build, and if you are looking to upgrade now, or in the future. DDR4 is no slouch by any means. Catch the best deal you can, and build accordingly within your set budget/goal.

If you are not an enthusiast level gamer (4K and above), enthusiast level overlocking, building a workstation for demanding software/hardware purposes, then best to think your build you through as the numbers add up quick. Build what you will use, not what you "think you will use otherwise you will be spending a fortune.
