I would always choose the white one over the black one for a new purchase, but if you aren't having problems, it may not be worth replacing it either...
Surprisingly responsive on the notifications to my iPhone.

I think this is the device you're thinking of, and that's not what is on sale in this thread.

I love the setting where you can tell it to automatically close your garage door if it's left open past a certain hour of the day (I'm ashamed to say that that's been triggered a few times).
I also love just driving away from my house and getting the notification when I'm halfway down the street on my watch telling me that the door has closed.
This is true even if you put outside LED Landscaping lighting that's near your garage which will block your remote signal from your cars to the base and even the outside keypad to the base.

Dont have any stability or Ads issue so not sure whats going on with your setup.....
I also helped install this for a few family members and instead of giving a spare key they have shared MyQ with me so remember that as an option. I stopped the Amazon deliver FYI .

Are you sure you don't have malware on your phone instead that is causing those popups?.
I went down every rabbit hole imaginable trying to figure out the issue. DNS, router firmware, access point firmware, radio interference, Wi-Fi naming, etc. The strange thing is that the sensor always accurately reported the garage door state -- it just wouldn't reliably close or open. That makes me suspect some type of hardware failure on the device.
Ultimately I replaced with a Meross garage door opener, which has been rock solid for me.
I do miss Amazon Key when the MyQ worked, but I don't miss Amazon calling me to tell me my garage door won't close when the MyQ decided to abruptly stop working in the middle of a delivery.
And yet, AND YET, for $17, I'm debating going through that pain all over again. I definitely won't chuck out the Meross -- but I'm debating ordering a new MyQ to see if Amazon Key (and Walmart+) deliveries would work consistently. At least with the Meross installed, I can still always close the garage even if the MyQ craps out mid-delivery again.
The only ads I see are a non-intrusive red dot that if you click on it takes you to an ad for their camera add-on. Hardly a popup or anything significant on the front screen.
