As chemistries and voltage vary across both battery types and brands, we recommend that you do not mix batteries. Mixing of cells can result in battery leakage and sub-optimal device performance. For best results, replace all batteries with the same brand, chemistry, voltage, and size when the device performance becomes unsatisfactory.

Overall I've had pretty good luck with Rayovacs. I've had occassional leakage IF I leave the batteries in for a long time after they've discharged completely. I now coat the contacts with a bit of vaseline or grease so they don't corrode if the batteries leak.

Costco and Duracell have leaked the most for me and I won't by them anymore.

Energizer has given me the least problems. They are on sale at Home Depot 30 AAA or 36 AA for about $15.

HD seems to have $10 off $50 in energizer batteries - that is a lot of batteries. Energizer itself has a $5 promotion on $20 purchase.

The only problem is that they are out of stock for shipping in my area.

Energizer owns rayovac, and makes these.

Good luck.

Energizer guarantees against leakage.

I started a thread about a week ago on the HD deal.

I would wait for a better deal. If you can't wait, Ace Hardware has 30 pack for $9.99 or less. https://www.acehardware.com/depar...es/3149432

Check the date. The Local Lowes was unloading 3-year-old batteries today. The month/year date on the batteries should be something like late/2032 or early/2033
Three years old is when they begin leaking in the package. They may hold a charge for 10 years, but will not last that long before leaking.

On sale at HD last December for ~$22 for a box of 60x. Unit price here is less than that. Have not had any one of those 120x leak, not sure what y'all doing with your batteries to have them leak. In for 2 and repped
About 2 weeks after black friday last year the local HD marked their remaining 60 packs to the same price as the Lowes 36 pack sale price (last year). There $24.95 right now.

I have used Rayovac batteries for decades. I have bought and used thousands of them. They used to have a great warranty. However, the new warranty is almost useless. Over the last three years I have had so many of the batteries leak that I have stopped using them and will dispose of the brand new ones. I have had devices with fresh batteries in my hand and have heard a "pop". When I opened the devices I found them flooded with electrolyte. Heck, I have brand new packages of batteries that are only a year or two old that have leaking batteries inside the package. The quality of Rayovac batteries is not what it used to be.

As far as the warranty, the last claim I made a little over a year ago for several devices came with a long legal document for me to sign. You should not need a lawyer to make a warranty claim on leaking batteries. The new warranty now has a limit on the value of any items damaged. I believe it is well under $20, it used to have no limit.

I have had better luck with cheap off brand batteries than with the Rayovac batteries of late. I did write to the CEO of Rayovac a year and a half ago. I never received a reply.

I am going to try Amazon and Costco batteries and see how they hold up.

Rayovac = Rubbish, they have destroyed too much of my equipment.

Pic is battery dated 2028, used in a alarm clock that leaked within 2 months!!
Also destroyed my Carbon Monoxide/Fire alarm.

Warranty is virtually useless. No more Rayovac for me, at any price.

Got the AA and AAA a couple years ago and they all start to leak (used or unused). If you want to risk it save the receipt. Rayovac has a no leak guarantee so I emailed them and got a $15 coupon for free Energizers.

Not worth it for destroyed devices though.
