I agree. 240 bucks for a 450 watt powered Klipsch subwoofer is a phenomenal deal. Even though the last thing I need is another a sub and my wife would kill me if I bought another one, I'm still actually considering pulling the trigger on this deal because as far as Im concerned, there's no such thing as having too many subwoofers and this is almost too good to pass up. So if you people never see me post again it probably means I ended up buying this and my Wife killed me. It was nice being a part of the SD community while it lasted.
This is a great subwoofer for the price. They are the newer model of R110-SW, these are leaps and bounds better than the cheaper R10 and the R100 line.
Yikes

I definitely would have sprung for it, but my low and wide stereo/TV cabinet is placed in a shallow right triangle angled across a corner of the room. The sub would have to sit in the corner, behind the cabinet in the small triangular space. This sub is, unfortunately, too big.
Instead, I'm eyeing the SVS SB-1000 Pro, which is unusually compact for what it is, but significantly more expensive than this at the sale price.
Does anyone have experience with both this one and the SVS SB-1000 Pro? Which is the better sub?
I could still make this work, but it would be an uncomfortable fit.
Only 200 watt RMS. Would be great deal if it was a actually 450
Yeah way to state the obvious. I'll even add to your genius statement. It would even be better than 450 it it had 700watts rms. it would even be a better than 700watts rms if it had... you guessed it, even more than 700. The difference between 450rms and 200 rms may sound like a huge difference especially on paper but in the real world, its not as big a difference as most people think. even though you are more than doubling the power, your overall output would be less than a 4db increase.. And thats a perfect situation like if the subwoofers xmax limit wasn't already maxed out or close to maxed out at 200watts. If that cone cant move further in and out than its already moving, its not going to get louder. Subwoofers have both physical limits and thermal limits. My guess is that this is a higher efficiency subwoofer that is designed to reach its upper limit at close to 200wrms & if you stepped up to 400wrms, you'd probably not only just need new amp, but a new beefier pricier sub that now also has different thiele small parimeters so that means a different box as well. you can see where this is going. You cant always just simply add power to something and that makes it better.
I think I'm missing something, or else its dead. Probably for the best, but I was sure ready to pull the trigger. Now I see

Link still works for me. If you go directly through their website it shows 659.
Well, that rating doesnt mean theres no sound below 27hz, it means 27hz is the 3db down point when the frequency starts to roll off so If it isnt a steep rolloff, you can still get usefull extenion below 27hz

They drop to $600 fairly regularly. If you set a deal alert on here you should be able to score one if you are patient.
Yes. WA-2 WIRELESS SUBWOOFER KIT
I grabbed the 12" last week on Amazon for $259! Worth the extra $30. Really happy with it.
