Also could someone please compare this to the HiSense 75" for $500 and the TCL 75" for $529? Thanks in advance.
4K@60hz only needs HDMI 2.0, which this has. HDMI 2.1 is for 4k@120hz, but this is only a 4k60hz panel, so HDMI 2.1 would be pointless.

Hisense and LG are both IPS panels which are better for wide viewing angles. If you want better contrast and blacks, get the TCL, which is a VA panel
So I guess VA panels are the way to go. Thanks. Not sure how long this deal with last though.

Thank you for your reply. I always have a HTPC connected to the TV and use it that way. The smart features are practically useless to me as everything is done via the HTPC - so the TV is used more like a computer monitor. 4k output is crucial.
