Other sizes and colors for the same price.
Jacket with charger and 3.0 battery comes out to $112 after the hack, also pretty good deal.

Return the battery after it arrives for the price in the receipt. The items get pro-rated in the select your free gift promos and you can return either one.

You're correct. I don't need one so I haven't looked into the details. Still, if you need battery it's a bit cheaper to hack the kit than to keep free battery with bare tool in this instance.
