The rebate offer ends on 10/30/22 so act quickly!!! OH NO, IT IS ALREADY ENDED!!! (TYPO) LOL

JUST FYI!!! the 6500xt (with warranty) it just a replacement for the rx580 (no warranty) in performance if you are running at PCIe 3.0. At Pcie 4.0 you might gain maybe 10-15% more performance.
Benchmark showed that its slower than the GTX 1060 3GB... $99 is about what its worth in today GPU price to performance... The positive is its not an Nvidia Card and its Fully DirectX 12.2 (lastest) card

Does this even ray trace? Remember physx standalone cards? Somehow I feel like we just backstepped 20 years.

I think these cards are just more power efficient. They are ment to replace the older Rx line. Cheap, nothing special, but gets the job done. More of a drop in for better graphics than Vega.

People were not impressed with it in the reviews below but those reviews were written based on the $200 selling price so there's that... I notice a common thread in the reviews is it won't be able to handle modern games and struggles at even 1080 resolution

Looks like it handles 1080p fine to me. Okay, it doesn't play Metro Exodus. Oh well. It's probably cause of the 4GB.

Hate to break it to you guys that are looking to upgrade their GPU, but this GPU is subpar at best even at 1080p. Even its predecessor, the 5500 XT performs better. You won't even notice much of a performance gain if you are upgrading from aged GPUs that was popular such as the GTX 970 and RX 570. The 6500 XT also is terrible for games with ray tracing. There are plenty of review videos on YT to watch for this card before deciding to buy it.

The 66xx models are much better with about over double the performance. There were 66xx deals during Black Friday/Cyber Monday as well in the $180-250 range. Christmas isn't too far away. If you can wait, I recommend you wait.

This is an entry-level budget GPU. Would probably only consider this card if you need one now, do casual gaming, and have no current GPU.

It is a bit better than GTX 780 TI but consumes much less power.
GTX 980 TI is way better. GTX 970 is similar but consume a little more power.

This is an astonishing bargain but if you really don't need it it is a waste of money. 80 dollar rebate is also a problem. No guarantee.
I collected all these "incredible" bargains and then ended up selling them all at ebay.
You will lose a lot of money in the process. I was lucky because I sold them during the Covid crisis and the price was very high then.

That's a really good point. At $100 after rebate it's a steal. At $200 it sucks.

Looks like this card is around equivalent to a GTX 1650, which is in the same price range. Not great, but not completely horrible either. It's a solid entry-level gaming card at $100

Decent upgrade for an older card so long as your MB supports pcie 4.0

Also RX 6500 XT require a PCIe 6pin power adaptor.. meaning this is an 75w-150w Graphic card.. PSU without 6pin will not run it... That a bummer. I still think the best card for small PC/silent PC without the need for PCIe 6/8pin power is the GTX 1050ti or GTX 1650

There is no difference in performance running this card over PCIe 3.0 instead of PCIe 4.0. Even an RTX 3080 has only a 2% difference in performance between gen 3 and 4.
Edit: Nevermind, I was wrong. I didn't think about the limited VRAM on these cards. It seems if the card runs out of VRAM, it can lose up to 50% performance pulling from DRAM over gen 3. I'm not sure why someone would buy this card instead of paying just a little more for a 6600.

Seems like a pretty good deal for a low end gaming build that you don't want to put a Ryzen G in. Save some money on the processor, get better graphics immediately, and allow for a better graphics card in the future. (You can do the same thing with a Ryzen G but you'll likely end up spending about the same amount of money in the long run, and have worse performance in the short term)

This is more than enough for kids to play Roblox/Fortnite/Minecraft.

Nope. It only has 4x on my pcie 3.0, 16x on pcie 4.0. The difference on this one is huge between the two. That's it's main problem

4GB is not acceptable in 2022 unless you don't care about texture settings though there is always up Scaling.

6600 is $200.
6500XT with rebate it's $100. Without rebate yeah you would definitely get 6600 for little more. I haven't seen too many graphic card deal that's around $100 price range.

For those who are considering 6600,this rebate also include 6650XT so it ends up being $225.

No.

This only has 4GB.
Even though 5700 XT is one generation older but it's 2 level up in tier. 6500 vs 5700.
