How do I get my freedom unlimited on the 5% with PayPal deal? When you say freedom, do u mean unlimited?
It's part of this quarter's 5% category and you have to activate it. 5% cb if you shop at Walmart or checkout with Paypal with your linked card.

Not even. I rather do the hard way…to avoid expensive regret.
Your behavior is part of the reason it's expensive. Go to an Apple Store a few times, pull up a stool, and review the menu before you dine.

The Apple store is no where nearby me unfortunately. Not lucky unlike most folks here.

Just a heads up with Amazon…only buy an iPad if you're 100% sure you want to keep. I bought an iPad from Amazon that I wanted to return. They won't let you take it to Kohls or UPS to return. Amazon had to schedule a UPS pickup from my house. Then they require you to wait up to 30 days before issuing a refund since they have to inspect it due to being a high ticket item. They received the iPad I returned on 11/14 and still no refund. I never even removed the seal from the iPad box. For me it's a lesson learned to avoid Amazon when it comes to Apple products.
Someone here on Slickdeals commented the same thing before and I thought it was just that person or they were exaggerating. Nope. According to the multiple Amazon reps I spoke with this is standard practice for Apple products.

It's not that hard to find those devices in demo in various stores either. Your behavior is pure abuse.

Same thing happened to me when I returned AirPods Pro

I respectfully disagree.

Testing the iPad demo is not enough for me alone to make a complete informed decision even with multiple trips to Apple, Costco and such. Everyone is different. YouTube video doesn't fill in that void in practical sense.

In the end of the day, I made the right decision to buy the right iPad at my own pace at home for my wants and needs for the right $.

If I were to return that iPad 12.9" variant for the SECOND TIME then I would had other personal issue, admittedly but that even didn't happen.

Now looking back at my experience, I should had started from the iPad 9th gen without looking at the price and compare the other iPad models way up to 12.9" variant then wait for right price to score rather than what I had initially done aka top to bottom. Doesn't help when I started hunting not long ago.

Slickdeals can make you think twice on whether it a good deal or not esp for a newbie like me figuring out the right iPad for me. Research, research, and research.

It all part of the learning experience as no one here will ever get it right the first time all the time.

My daughter has an OG iPad Pro 10.5. This Air has an upgrade everywhere except it doesn't have ProMotion.

With an M1 chip I'm baffled why it's can't do ProMotion. Unless it's just being held back which is evil
I upgraded from original iPad Pro and the 5th Gen Air has a noticeable screen improvement.

I don't think it'll be as impactful as you might think. It's no different than a page file on Windows. …Apparently Stage Manager makes use of it, but I doubt that's much of the population.

IMO if you're like me and close the 3-4 apps that are open, you're very unlikely to be impacted. Also, I don't see why Apple can't extend this feature to 64GB models, even an extra 2, 4, 6 gigs, or even 8 gigs won't make a noticeable impact to storage size.

I think it's just Apple's method of segmenting again, using hardware differentiation that they put in, to supposedly affect software, in attempt to sell the more expensive model.
Originally Stage Manager wasn't supported on the 64GB model, allegedly because it didn't support virtual memory swap. Of course there was a huge outcry that a current M1 model was gimped because of that so Apple backtracked and included Stage Manager for the model. Of course Stage Manager runs slow on it so it's of marginal use (not that it's exactly a break out feature on higher models). But, for me at least, the question remains regarding "future proofing," is how many features in future iPad OS versions will also require virtual memory swapping, or run much slower because it's absent? That's where I'm afraid this comes into play rather than 3rd party apps.

I ended up buying an open box for around $450. I bought the Walmart deal for the 4th gen but I'd rather pay an extra $100 for the M1 for future proofing and extra features. Thanks for posting.
I did the same but then Best Buy cancelled my order last night without explanation. They still have them in stock for the color, capacity and condition (open box / excellent) I chose. Trying again today.

Dang that sucks. I do think the M1 is the better buy over the A14 so hopefully you get it this time around. Good luck!

Can we still take advantage of the Target deal or are you just reminiscing?
No, the Target deal has passed. I'm giving context to how well this deal stacks up to recent deals. It's an decent deal but not a lose-your-mind fire icon deal IMHO.
