Lots of wrong info regarding bed size here on this thread:
king mattress 76" x 80"
California king 72" x 84"

Twin XL 38" x 79"
Hence two Twin XL (38 + 38 = 76) make a regular king and won't fit into a California king bed.

Had to spell it out with the numbers as several people repeated wrong info…
Your info is incorrect. Two twin XL's make a regular king.
No two would fit under a "king" not cal king. I don't see anything in description that says they are attachable or can be synchronized.

Full is a good price though.

FYI the max weight recommedation is 300 lbs. Your mattress counts toward that weight, so you'd have to be a pretty slim couple not to make this thing unsturdy. That said, the weight recommendation doesn't change on the product site or manual when you switch from twin to queen etc, so either that's an error and 300 applies only to the twin, or the frame doesn't support more weight even as its width/length increase.

Would you recommend getting the Allstate 5 year warranty for $30?

No experience with warranties,.sorry. I will say I haven't had any issues with it, but the other reviews said it's near impossible to source replacement parts.

I have 2 of these we used for a king. Currently, because we like different positions (who doesn't Smilie we use twin XL mattresses and have them shoved together. there's a pad you can buy for the gap. Use seperate fitted sheets and share blanets. Anyway, excellent build quality and they can be synchronized, but we prefer separate. We've had them for years without issue.
Thanks for your comment, just ordered these 2 Twin XLs bases and Zinus mattresses, and plan on using them together like you are, since each twin xl mattress is narrower than a single Queen or King bed, do you feel uncomfortable since its not contiguous.

Also, I've searched Amazon for the Gap Pad, but couldn't find it, could you provide the Pad you purchased, or a link would be appreciated ?

Thanks

Wish I could see what it looks like. Maybe I can just disassemble or cut up one of the full and fab it up under my platform bed. I just don't know if it would work with the Sleep Number mattress I'll be getting from work.

What mattresses do you use with yours? And what thickness?

Just curious, as the mattresses that can be purchased bundled with this are 12 thick, so not sure if that is too much.

Paid $340 for one back in March and been using it since. I like it enough that I ordered a second one from this deal for an unused room. Great for a tall person in a small space, and no need for an additional recliner in the room.
What kind of bed you use for this, can you give us a link for a reference

I got that one but I will try something slimmer for my other one. The thickness makes you sink in when sitting up straight.

We've had foam mattresses in Twin XL size for about 5 years now (Tuft and Needle Legacy Original). We just put them together and threw a King size sheet over them. The gap might be an inch, with both of us laying on the bed. It's not noticeable at all with these mattresses, so have never researched a solution to the 'problem'.

Serious question: Is the weight limit really only 300lbs? Since a full size mattress typically weighs 50-60 lbs, that leaves only 240lbs to split between two people (adults). And that's not counting pillows, sheets, comforters, etc. Or a doggie.

May I use the spring mattress not foam mattress on it?
I don't know for sure but spring mattresses are probably not flexible enough to be raised at an angle. Trying to do so will destroy the motor and possibly the mattress.

What? that means a temperpedic can't go on there since it weighs soo much... also this is kind of low to the ground since you cannot use a box spring to prop it higher.

Serious question here guys... Has anyone tested this with a King temperpedic and with the 6 legs holding everything up does it rock a lot with a late night workout?

Just a random thing to consider for anyone looking to buy. Don't bother unless you sleep on your back. Side and stomach sleepers need not apply for adjustable mattresses like this. Your spine just doesn't bend that way. If you suffer from heartburn/acid reflux/GERD like I do, and think something like this might be useful like I did, better to get some wedge mattress pads.
