It beats it. This and the new Samsung 990 are top of the food chain now until Gen 5 ones come out.

Thanks OP! Bought the SN850X 2Tb for the PS5. Looks like delivery is Jan 4-5.

Been looking into this for few days. Even though this SN850X does not have the Sony Stamp of approval looks like its upgraded or newer version of SN850.
Anyone have real life use experience with 850X?
It's one of the most popular drives for PS5.. works great!

One question. Mobo comes with m2 heatsink and we can buy third party very large heatsink for 10-20 bucks. Any advantage buying the one with heatsink, and the one with heatsink can be used with the heatsink that comes with Mobo?

Fwiw same price as bf. Actually heatsink is $5 more now .

If you don't need it now, will see this price again every other month at most, especially with gen 5 in 2h 23
Heatsink version is the same price as BF: https://slickdeals.net/f/16231423-2tb-wd-black-sn850x-nvme-m-2-2280-pcie-4-0-internal-ssd-w-heatsink-180-more-free-s-h

The covid situation in China is concerning. If you need it now, I'd not wait.
