Sad that it has no ram slots. If you want two ram slots for your 2in1, check out the 5300 or 5310 on ebay for not much more or even same price for the 5300 2in1.

Good luck!

To clarify that last point, consider that most of these devices appear to be refurbished not by Dell directly but rather by the original lessor as part of their lease agreement to Dell's specifications. As a result, these often come labeled as "refurbished by FedEx" or something similar.
Good luck!

Do consider that part of the value of these Dell enterprise systems is their documentation and serviceability relative to commodity retail laptops. There's not universally something wrong with all cheap retail laptop deals, but part of the value in these old Dell refurbished buys is for DIY-ers who have an interest in maintaining them or otherwise value the build quality.
Good luck!

The laptop versions have upgradeable RAM slots. On one hand people are clamoring for thinner laptops and the other hand was balking at soldered RAM. Dell's CAMM resolves this but still got a lot of pushback.
I did get a 7400 2-in-1 when they had their 40% off last month. "A" grade was extremely excellent. Other than really small scratches around the ports it was brand new with the battery at excellent health. They don't say they replace batteries with new ones like Apple does though. They just say they test.

Why people that copy large data to their local drive shouldn't get a MacBook or laptop w/ soldered SSDs:

It may be possible to remove soldered RAM, but wouldn't make sense to buy a computer planning on doing this. The process may not always work or could damage the computer, and if you don't do it yourself, you'll have to pay someone else. If someone already has one of these computers, then sure, they could try this.
Safer to just find a computer with the RAM you need, or buy a computer where increasing RAM is easier.

Also the 5300 and 5310 laptop version do have TWO sodimm slots also. The 7390 laoptop ver only have one sodimm slot so you can only go up to 32GB ram
If I were you and need ram upgrade more than anything else, i would go for 5300 and 5310. They are avail on ebay for $250 or less.
the 7390 2in1 with 16GB and 512GB ssd is very good priced at $192 as long as you don't need to upgrade the ram.
It is very rare to see 13in laptop with sodimms slots. The only other one i know is lenovo thinkpad 13, the older models that only has the 7th gen cpu.
All these laptops can be bought for less than $250!
I got mine 4 years ago for around $400 from dell outlet. Had a core i3 processor.
For $200, this is a solid price. For me, I love LOVE the latitude keyboards, have been using them for the past 10-12 years.

Not true at all! There is the dell 5300 and 5310 2in1 which do have TWO sodimm slots to let you upgrade up to 64GB ram! Sadly the 7390 2in1 doesn't come with any sodimm slots but that doesn't mean there aren't any other 13in 2in1 without sodimm slots

If you can get the 7390 2in1 with 16GB and 512GB ssd, that is very good for a budget laptop. also look at the 7390 laptop version which does have one sodimm slot. If you want the ultimate in ram upgradability 13 in, look at 5300 and 5310.

with the 35dell7490 35% off you can get a 7490 for $220, not a bad price considering it has two sodimm slots.
but if you can do with 16GB ram and no plan to ever upgrade ram, then the 16GB, 512GB 7390 2in1 is a better deal.

However, if you're never going to crack the device open *and* you're shopping reputable brands (so avoiding those Gateway laptops I mentioned earlier) you might not value serviceability as highly.
Good luck!
