How does this compare with Crucial X8 2TB Portable SSD for the same price?

Edit: Answered my own question, the Crucial is 1050mb speed while this one is only 520mb

This is V1. The V2 went on sale (OOS) at Costco for 5 dollars more. If you don't need it now, wait for a better sale.
Performance wise, I am using v1 and v2 as external drives for Macbook, iMovie when travel etc. Except for the longer wait time when copying movie files, I see no difference between the 2.

Thanks. Amazon's delivery estimate on this is a few weeks out so that gives time to keep an eye out for this costco one lol

The v2 is twice the speed.
