I don't recommend these units. I have 1gb one that failed on me about a month ago (luckily I didnt lose anything too important). From what I can gather the failure rate is pretty high on these guys... As a matter of fact a data recovery company that I used a few years aga has a section on there website specifically for these drives

I bought 2 years ago and scared to death it will go bad one day. Will never buy this drive again

Man I bought two of these for 1.5TB of music and video files and another for a backup. Sucks these are having issues. I actually like these devices, but don't want to lose all my files.
