Second visit he did last of fancy diagnostic tests and had to call consultant.
In the end, code said a wire in the door had shorted out. It would cost $1,000 for a new door bc he couldn't get to the wire in the door. After all components in the door were installed, they fill the void with insulation.
No problem. My kids learned how to use ice trays!
That would be an expensive mistake.
I'm not seeing this model listed there. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?
One of this conversations had a husky voiced Ghetto Karen out of Atlanta Georgia from the LG Office of the President treat me like absolute trash on the phone and tell me it was all my fault. I haven't been talked like that ever. So, really you are signing yourself up for being without a refrigerator for 2 to 3 months, have $500 of food spoilage, having a ghetto Karen out of Atlanta Georgia tell you that it's your fault that it's not repaired after 2 months, spend at least 30 hours on the telephone trying to get this repaired.
So if that's what you like then go for it.

I hit the jackpot with the appliance repair guy. He used to work for LG at one point before starting his own company. He told me how the process worked and what would happen, and he was 100% accurate. I submitted the claim online and the parts were received by the repair guy within 3 days. I also got a new mainboard out of the repair.
He did state the compressor was a horrible design used by LG for a few years, and that they changed the compressor. Of course, I guess time will tell.
No they have not good luck to ever one

Maybe for others. I have a second fridge in the garage and we recently cleaned out both, so we only lost a few things that nobody cared about anyway.
My 2017 model just failed two weeks ago.

Our last fridge was 11+ years old but the filter fitting housing cracked and leaked into the walls.
We ended up replacing it with another higher end Whirlpool and both ice makers had issues the first year. My parents Kitchenaid (same model as mine) is going strong. Their other Kenmore which was an LG had the compressor die twice in 4 years. The only constant seems to be Bosch outperforming the rest of the industry but parts/techs aren't the easiest to come by if something does go wrong.
