Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.

Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.

To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;

AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;

2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;

AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.

To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
23% return on investment, not bad at all.

$900 / $15,500 = 0.058

0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%
lol what? You're getting $900 for 90 days with $15,000. You need to redo your math.

I transferred funds to both checking and savings from another savings account. A day later, $900 bonus was in my chase account. It seems the transfer was seen as DD and triggered bonus. $15k in savings also triggered bonus. I will keep $15k there for 90 days just in case.
Which bank was the source bank?

After dealing with account lockouts, blocked transfers and having to call Chase and still being unable to add a transfer account. I can say that if anyone is looking for a good long term bank, Fidelity is far better.
Did your source and Chase bank account names match? Maybe a different spelling or address triggers the fraud alerts.

This account locking BS is getting ridiculous. 2 locks this week. First when trying to add Chase as an external account from Citi. Then after adding Citi account as an external account from the Chase side with the cs guy on the phone, verifying the 2 small deposits and initiating a transfer from Citi to Chase.

Looks like Chase is hell bent in preventing incoming ACH transfer from other banks.

Do we need to add external account in chase before initiating ACH from external account? If ACH incoming from new external account will be triggering fraudulent?

Don't bother with the transfer. Just write yourself a check and hand it in at a branch. Luckily I have one next to my work, but this may cause issues if you're far from a branch.
Quote from rndman :
Yup. I did not understand that BS either.
Finally I could fund the Checking using Zelle.
And for Savings, I had to literally go to branch and deposit the check. That too it says "Delayed deposit and blah blah blah".
This has been the worse banking experience.
They even locked my account twice when I scheduled the transfers.
While depositing in-branch is likely the best way to avoid issues, I think depositing the check using the Chase app should work fine too, no?
Just called and fraud dept said ACH transfers are down (made it sound system-wide) with no timeline for being restored, but that doesn't relate to checks.

Anyone here was able to recently establish accounts or sign up for this promo with multiple people in same household? Is it a limit of 1 promo per individual, or 1 per address? Would like to have son & daugther sign up for promo too if possible.

Where can you earn 6%?
It's probably something like one of those credit unions that pay high interest on checking, I've seen these before. The only problem is you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it. Like make 10 debit transactions every month. It's not enough to interest me because they usually have strict maximum balances you can receive this interest on, like 10,000.

Does anyone know if the 15k has to be deposited directly into the savings account to qualify for the bonus? Or can I deposit into checking and then transfer it to savings?
