It's a really good price but I don't recommend it. I bought it from Costco way back but returned it. For UWHD screen with VA panel, you really need the curve. Otherwise, you will always see color shifting unless you want to keep moving your head side to side.

It is the equivalent of a 1440p 27" monitor, plus an additional 30% of horizontal space and pixels to work with. If a 27" at 1440p feels like the right height and pixel density, but you wish for more workspace horizontally, then this 34" UWQHD fits the bill.

In my one instance of using a 27" 1080p monitor for work, the picture felt a bit fuzzy. I assumed it was because I had hit the breaking point. 24" 1080p monitors look plenty sharp to me.

At the same time, a 32" 4k display is too pixel dense for work. I have to scale the screen in Windows to 150%. This has some benefits. When done properly, it results in what's essentially "Ultra sharp 1440p". You get 1440p space to work with, but things like text can end up extra sharp. This does require good app and OS support. And it does require your GPU to work harder than native 1440p, though.

All that being said, I think that 3440x1440 is an ideal, practical resolution for a 34" UW monitor. At least for productivity like office work. Anything higher will result in the price going up much quicker than the benefits. Not only the cost of the monitor itself, but also the additional load on your PC and electrical costs.

There is no such thing as an ultra wide 4k. This is 3440x1440. I bought this a few weeks ago and I just kept trying until it offered to ship to me even though it had been out of stock. For the price it's a great monitor

I bought this last time it was 200$ at Walmart, I liked it, PBP is awesome, I use PBP all the time. I always feel it needs to be curved when I look at the corner. But I stand most of the time (standing desk) so I move towards the corner whenever I need that read at corner. I tried looking for curve monitors but nowhere close to this price range.

I purchased a curved monitor a few years ago and I will only purchase curved monitors from here on. it's nice for those corners and wide monitors. Sucks it does come with a premium but worth it in my opinion.

While there are no "4k" ultrawide monitors, that's kind of a technically because 4k means that the resolution is 4k pixels wide. When people say "4k" they generally mean Ultra High Definition (UHD). There are absolutely UHD ultrawide monitors with the same pixel densities as 16:9 4k monitors.

https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg...de-monitor

Edit: people aren't very bright. "4k" monitors are about 4k pixels wide by 2160 pixels high or about 4k x 2k. If you keep the vertical pixel count the same and make the monitor ultrawide it becomes about 5k x 2k... So by definition it's not 4k, it's 5k.

The problem is that marketing has convinced people that 4k implies a particular resolution, when in fact you should look at the 2160 pixel row count. When the person above asked if it's 4k, they meant to ask about the resolution. Dopey, who I quoted above, is implying that they don't make UHD UW monitors, which is false. The LG monitor I linked above has a resolution of 5120x2160, or 163 pixels per inch on a 34" monitor. That is identical to a "4k" 3840x2160 27" 16:9 monitor. Either Dopey doesn't know that they make ultra high def ultrawide monitors or he's being pedantic about "well technically you can't have a 4k ultrawide monitor".
