A family member who runs a major food gardening org uses fabric bags similar to these. They plant them with potting mix (not soil), plant fruit trees in them, and bury them about halfway in the ground. Apparently it greatly reduces circling/girdling (the entire point of air pruning pots) while not using quite as much water.
That said, he's a bit particular about quality, and most VIVOSUN products I've used have been fairly cheaply made. If you want to grow woody plants and want the best air pruning design on the market, look into the Air-Pot (made by Superoots). And while the knockoffs may or may not be quite as durable, many use exactly the same design.
That's way overpriced
Let them sit in a "pool" of water with an overflow hole up about 1.5" to 2" off the ground. Some people literally use kiddie pools, but it's tricky to get the water level with such a large pool, unless it's on a level concrete slab maybe.
With this method, you just need to add water to the pool... And if you use enough sphagnum peat moss, the water will just constantly wick upwards for the roots. Best method of having ever!!

These are fine for annuals but if you're growing perennials be aware that they allow the soil to dry out badly over winter. I lost several fig trees because I was not expecting this. If you do use them, be sure to add water much more frequently over winter than you would with a normal nursery pot.
I paid $23 in April and I'm not sure if this was from SD or just from normal shopping because I buy these for my garden every few years. They must go on sale a lot.

The current lightning deal is WAY better than this posted deal.
They also ban anyone from their subreddit who mentions or asks about the fans catching fire. Absolutely shady stuff.
Good to know about their fans...good thing these bags don't have motors. But get what you're saying about not supporting a company's entire product line based on one of their other products.
I'm guessing the referral bonus is much less on the better lightning deal than the SD's staff deal...don't be fooled and get the better deal others have referenced if you're in the market to get these bags.

Yeah it would be one thing if they owned up to it and handled it professionally, but instead they played dirty. Really scummy stuff.
Sure, these bags won't catch on fire but I see it as a moral issue. I wouldn't buy a painting from a guy selling poisoned lemonade just because the painting can't poison me, you know?
Any reason to buy these over a 'generic' that regular price beats even the lightning deal?
Edit: I doubt these 'name brand' are any better than the generic but I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the lighting deal for $2 more because I liked the dimensions better. These vivosun bags are shorter and wider than the generics I linked to.

15g seems like way too big.
~2.80 per pot for 10.

Their fans catch fire and they attempt to buy out people who post about that experience online. Example: https://old.reddit.com/r/HotPeppe...nts/vy1ann
