Not yet, right now this is considered the best gaming monitor money can buy (mainly because of its Samsung made, QD-OLED panel.) However, this is the year of OLED gaming monitors and several OLED monitors are slated for release. (LG, MSI, Samsung) This is a 34 inch inch monitor so obviously its far smaller than 45 inches, Go to RTINGS,com and search for this model number, they posted their review last month.

EDIT: here's the link: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...-aw3423dwf
If you're interested in a 34" ultra wide a measly 27" isn't gonna cut it lol
I have perfect vision and it was like staring at an out of focus picture. It's not arguable man I don't know what you're failing to understand, the sub pixel layout is different than most other monitors and the text is LITERALLY less clear, it's a fact. Enjoy your monitor but man you need more of an open mind.

From what I've read of people that have returned multiple panels, the issues like coil whine, noticeable fringing, etc seem to vary from unit to unit, so it is just a toss up as to the unit you get. Which is pretty typical with most monitors for various problems.
bought 2 and have not had any issues. the monitor has a fan and will turn on if the room is above 70 degrees

this monitor can do 10bit at 157hz with a custom resolution. The instructions and #'s to do it are floating around on the web. The 157hz is a limitation of displayport.
i dont see the reason to use 8bit unless you are watching 4k movies on a UHD player or doing professional photography.

I dont see any difference in games, i run mine at 175hz, gsync version

Not exactly this one, but got its sibling, AW3423DW. I can see what others were saying about texts due to PenTile subpixel. But fortunately, there is a little tweak you can do in Windows to compensate that and the result is pretty ok. Of course nothing compared to high density text from Neo G7's 4k 32" panel used previously, but for me, it was adaptable. But for sure YMMV depending on your preference, distance to monitor, etc.

As much as I look forward other brands, especially from Samsung, what concerns me is their warranty. Warranty on AW3423DW/F is pretty good with 3 year advanced exchange with OLED burn in included. Samsung monitor has not been the best with warranty or RMA, even $ 1500 Neo G8 only came with 1 year warranty (and it has not been a trouble-free monitor either, if you research). Hope they stand with their product and offer better warranty with their OLED models.

Some reviews mention a coil whine. I'm on the fence on this one, really bothered by ghosting/blur in my current 7 year old dell LCD display im usually pushing 150+ FPS in 1440p ultra settings so Im not sure if this monitor is the one, but it seems like it keeps popping up here

Anyone advise on the coil whine?
I have 0 coil whine but my GSYNC-version monitor has a fan. I can't hear it unless I turn everything off (including the PC).

tempted to jump on this but there is a slew of QD-OLED monitors coming this year so maybe better wait to see what the competition brings out,

I've been using this monitor for a little over a week (bought it at the $1000 deal) and I haven't experienced any coil whine. If i stand up and put my ear right next to it, I can hear the tiniest hiss but I have never been able to hear anything from where I sit, even in the most intense gaming sessions.

The same cannot be said about the non-F model with the G-sync ultimate chip. The coil whine on that one was so loud I had to return it after 2 days.

Just turned on 10bit 144hz on my gsync version

i have no clue if it made things better, i dont think it has unless you are working with photos.. back to 175 hz

there is no coil whine on my monitor. Gsync is superior to freesync
sounds like a normal fan

Quite strange like I said I must have jet fighter pilot eyes 20/15 vision . I don't see anything. I run two LED monitors over 140hz next to the qd-oled and the oled is 2x better more superior for viewing and gaming
Perhaps it is the opposite and you need glassses and that is why you dont see it? Dude, it is an established problem. If you don't see it and are happy with it, good for you.

I have this monitor and love it. I could never go back to non OLED.

With that said, 2nd gen QD-OLED might be nice and not too far away.

No regrets here though.

So why you keep bothering me? Obviously you a minority of the people who can see it.
I for one think the QD-OLED is the best screen on the market , 10x better than any LED monitor for the price and performance.

Yes i have 20/15 vision and could have been a jet fighter pilot and have two other LED monitors on my computer desk. The QD OLED destroys them even when calibrated with my i1displaypro

No regrets either best screen made and it only took 20 years to get rid of CRT, LCD, LED tech for good so we have pure blacks again and high contrast levels with high refresh rates

in less than 2 years this would cost less than $600 for similar models/brands

Maybe not. My 65" 2017 LG OLED is now 6 years old and new ones cost just about the same as this was when it came out.
