Free in store pickup or ship to home.

I have the KREG 48" version of this and think I want to upgrade to this one. This also looks nicer having the measuring scale along the clamp.

if you haven't used one of these, they are great for cutting plywood and other sheet products.

Calling this a clamp is a bit misleading. It's really a straight edge or saw guide. You wouldn't get much squeeze pressure using it as a clamp.

I bought one of these, and regret it. It's frustrating to get aligned and the clamp is aggravating to use. Even bought the right angle guide. Too flexible to easily get square. Mine is going to be sold at a garage sale or given away.

Eventually, I bought a tracksaw and the rails for it are far better at this and can take better clamps, although it's much more expensive. On the cheaper end, consider one of those drywall straight edges. Low enough to use as a saw guide but still sturdy enough to clamp and hold a straight line. I have a Swanson drywall square which I was going to suggest, but those have become expensive lately. Haven't tried them, but maybe one of those Johnson cutting guides?

Track saw is a big investment, not sure how you can recommend that over this.

I have this and it's much better than a drywall square. You can do the same job with a 2x4 and clamps but this is a much easier way to go. I'd like a track saw but for occasionally ripping sheets of OSB or plywood this is nice to have.

Sorry, should have been more specific: I was recommending the track saw rails alone, one side of them is square and can be used as a guide if clamped down. The Powertec ones are about $130 now. Wen has a set for $65. Wen is generally not great quality, but I'm pretty confident even those would be easier to use and more accurate than this Bora guide. Looking at Amazon now, Kreg has a circular saw track and adapter for $80, although it's only 50 inch and costs another $99 to get to 100 inch.

I used my 50" version as a guide for trimming up the bottoms of 8 bypass sliding closet doors. Worked great.

I think i'll bite on this. I have a makita track saw but it really struggles to get through 2" thick wood. My makita circ saw does fine but obviously no track.

This echoes my experience. I used it to cut plywood building siding and flooring for a shop and skate ramps for my kid. I couldn't afford a tracksaw, so this worked "ok to good" in its place as a guide. When ripping the long length of a plywood sheet, I actually drilled a hole in the middle and anchored it to the scrap side of the cut. Otherwise, over that distance the plywood could often bow (from the weight and pressure of the circular saw) just enough to let the saw's surface plate slip under the Bora. Also I generally would clamp both ends of the Bora to the plywood since the clamping mechanism was difficult to get perfect.
I've also used it as a straight edge for marking long lines. Works great for that application.

If you need a straight edge for a circular saw, best solution is the DIY one. 3/4" plywood base with a thin 1" strip screwed on top. Run saw along the top strip cutting the base. The edge of the base shows you where you'll cut exactly.

These style of guides require you to account for offset of saw shoe and will bow in the middle when cutting over long distances.

I agree. It takes a little more work, but I made a couple with fences on both sides and windows to line up the thin kerf with the cut line. Super easy to use and prevents tear out on both sides of the cut. Video of similar one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0BZLbW1lvQ&t=3s

That being said, if I'm on a job site or using a different saw, I've thrown together a simple one sided version out of scraps on site when I needed to make some cuts that called for better accuracy than a saw and straight edge alone would easily accomplish.

If you bought this, check the store again. I bought one and just came across it at my lowes for $35 on clearance. They price matched themselves and gave me a refund.
