Using a card payment processor at 2.9% you'd be able to cycle $4,000 for $116 in fees - add the $69 card fee and you're at $185 for Companion Pass and 34,000 points, which is a solid deal for 11 months of pass.
I got the Priority card a little over a year ago. I was able to add the card to ApplePay before getting the physical card.
Once the card appears in your accounts in the Chase app
go to the card,
click Show More under Account Services
Click Digital Wallets
I was able to add the card to ApplePay. GPay and Paypal are also offered but I did not try to add those.
Hope this helps someone. It's possible they changed this since I did do it over a year ago.
Have done the CP many times. This looks like an easy way to get it. Too bad I have no desire to fly anymore.

30 days if applying for the exact card you cancelled; or as little as 4 days if applying for a different variety of Southwest personal card than you had/cancelled.
My wife canceled her Plus card today, 02/11. It's been over 48 months since the SUB. She plans to apply for the Priority card to qualify for this bonus. So just to be clear, she should wait for maybe a week to apply? Or maybe wait until closer to the end of the promotion period?
On another note, I recently got the priority and performance business cards and should qualify for a CP next month. 40K bonus points showed up on my wife's account on 02/07 for being my referral source. We have 2 kids and plan to do quite a bit of traveling in the next year.
A family member just used my link and got approved for the card.....wondering, how quickly do the referral points get added to your account?
I'm not sure but at least one billing cycle. I was approved for the Performance Business card on 01/01 then approved for the Priority card on 02/01. Both were through my wife's referral link. Her billing cycle ended on 02/07 and 40K (20K for each card) Refer-a-friend bonus were added. I was glad to see the more recent referral go through so fast since she canceled her Plus card on 02/11 hoping to qualify for this offer. And use me as a referral source, ofc.
how do you get the 50,000 points? i can't find that promo anywhere. i have tried referall link, southwest website, and chase website.
Sorry, maybe that was the previous offer. That's what it showed when I first clicked my friend's referral. Then I tried the same link again the next day, and it said that offer is no longer available and updated to the companion pass offer.
Option 1) Immediate CP and 30k points with this offer once you have reached spending limit.
Option 2) Combination of Business (Don't need to own biz) and Personal Card and 135k points and 22 months of CP.
Seems like Option 2 is significantly better if your credit can take the hit and you can reach the spend.
SOUTHWEST RAPID REWARDS® PERFORMANCE BUSINESS
$199 AF, 80k Points, $5k Spend
and
Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card
$99 AF, 50k Points, $1k Spend
or
Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card
$149 AF, 50k Points, $1k Spend + $75 SW Travel Credit
Key Difference:
Both options end up with CP but the 2nd option gives you and extra 100k in SW Points as well as an extra 10 months of travel on CP.
This was really helpful and making me think we should go for the 2 card approach. A few questions I'm confused about :
1) I'd have my wife do this... as we did it back in 2017 or so and I still have a SouthWest credit card. How would I go about referring her for bonus points to both of these promotions?
2) I found the link to the 80k signup bonus for the business card, but only seeing the 30K + CP promo right now for the Premier.... is there a way to still utilize the 50K bonus promo? Or is that gone?
2 questions:
1- My premier account was closed for non use end of january so do i have to open a different card to qualify
2- venmo accept credit cards with a 3% charge so can't i just send a payment to my wife for 4k to qualify
Just submitted for the $99 Premier card but got this message:

Same happened to me. This morning, I got an email saying a new letter is in my Chase account. I logged in and I located the letter. I had been denied approval because "too many credit inquiries or accounts opened with Chase". Which was absolutely incorrect. Neither part of that statement was true. I got on the phone. The third person I was transferred to (now talking to someone in the Philippines) finally asked if it was okay to do a hard credit pull. I said OK, knowing my credit score is 830. She then got back on the line and said she was recommending approval! She transferred me to someone else (now back in the US). After a few minutes holding on the line, I was approved. I logged back into my Chase accounts and the new card is there. What a runaround! 44 minutes on the phone. Couldn't believe they never bothered to do a credit pull before denying.

Only the person who gives the link gets the referral points, they can give you an equivalent value back
