I'd rather buy a dumb string of white lights with a minimum 60 LEDs/M than an RGBIC with 18/M; where a diffuser couldn't even save you.

Don't really understand the differences, is more expensive assumed to be better?
Edit: I guess RGBIC allows multiple colors at same time instead of entire strip having same color.

I cannot guarantee is has local control ability, but according to a list of supported local control LAN ability lights for Govee, it lists the model (H6154) as a model that should have LAN support.
If this does have LAN support, it can be activated in Govee's app and with Home Assistant, you can install a Govee LAN Control integration via HAC which should be capable of controlling the lights locally.
If anyone is planning on buying a Govee light strip to see if can be controlled via you LAN, make sure to check the model number with the list I link below to see if has LAN support ability.
I'm almost tempted to buy this just to see if it has LAN control.

The higher density of lights, 30 per meter, is not particularly high already. I don't have the lower density (18 per meter), but reviews were disappointed by the lower number of lights.
There is usually some sort of coupon on these lights. Some of the prices on this post look pretty regular, but some might be low. You'd have to compare to previous Slickdeals posts since I don't think coupons come up on camelcamelcamel.
