Had two of these die on me. Buyer beware. Warranty not worth the hassle. Don't cut corners with flash drives, they end up in landfill - a lot of them!

Right, but they are no-name, it's like buying one in a Dollar Tree store... I dare you to store your precious data on any of these $20 1TB usb drive...

I've used these in the past without issue. Nothing heavy duty, I just load them up with data and mail them off to friends.

Again, I wouldn't necessarily use this as an everyday, heavy-use storage device, but if you need to dump a bunch of movies, etc. on a flash drive when you visit a friend's house for instance, this should work fine.

Hey, when you use a $20 1TB flash drive, the loading of information might be slow, but it will continue to copy everything you want to the stick. Just know that everything you copy isn't guaranteed to continue to remain on the stick, as it might just delete files to make room for the files that are continually being copied to the stick.

Check out the following video to see how these things work! The video covers SSDs, but similar issues occur with a lot of other types of storage media.

PNY flash drives are 2 year warranty. Click on the warranty information on Amazon's page.
I dont think PNY has a lifetime warranty on any of their products.

I had one. Speeds were OK but its crashed twice on big data writes requiring reformat. if it is going to be a mostly read drive, OS installer etc then maaaaybe but for mission critical stuff I'd look elsewhere.

Just one guy's opinion in the ether.

Back in 2005 right out of HS a 128GB flash drive was something you could only dream about.
