Write speed is atrocious on these. I think about 20 mb/s is what some people get. It will take about 2 hours to fill the drive from empty with data

I never understood why the big price difference for their phones when you jump from 64GB to 128GB or 128 to 256 Plus they are buying the memory chips in bulk and wholesale. So for less then $8 in memory, the end user pays $100 to $200 more for the phone. Evil Apple for you!

Is this better than the $8 64GB Samsung deal that popped up earlier?

They sleep well knowing they are keeping their stockholders happy. Just kidding. They sleep well knowing that they've satisfied their requirements to get their outrageous bonuses.

They could still sleep feeling rich -and- not feel like complete and utter scoundrels if they'd stop charging 1998 upgrade prices. It's insulting to anyone who knows anything about the cost of these components. But that's Apple's business model these days: Profit as much as humanly possible off of ignorant sheep. I'm happy to see their computer sales just fell of a cliff...perhaps they've FINALLY pushed their customers too far.

Don't bet on it. It's all a manipulation game to these types, who are known to usually have some form/amount of psychopathy. They'll never stop looking for ways to be the richest they can, as money is their scoring system. "He who dies with the most wins."

There IS difference between memory chips especially when it comes to smartphones vs USB sticks since the ones inside phones have to be better quality in order to withstand the constant use and heat as well as provide top performance but yes the difference is definitely not fair when even higher capacity good quality chips are compared but that's how they make money. If they can save $5 on each phone multiplied by how many they will sell still makes a good profit, sad part is when used later as trade in the higher capacity almost never is valued higher and sometimes weirdly even lower but in those cases it might be due to popularity of that model/capacity.
