That said, these don't have ground holes. Wouldn't get them...

Work great. Set and forget.
having one on your router to reset daily (or off at 2:59am and on at 3:00am) or similar is a useful application for me. one of my wyze cams seems to drop wifi occasionally so i might pick up another and set it to do a daily reset also.
I also have wifi ones for other uses, and have found that post power outage or wifi issues they don't reset correctly or default to on/off etc. Sometimes "dumb" is better
At this point in time, "dumb" plugs exist purely for people who are not tech savy or just don't want to deal with the extra configuration needed for smart devices.
These things cost $6.50 each. No big deal.

3. Never had any wireless device connected to the internet 24/7/365!
Bam!!!
Even more electricity saved!
4. Ditto with streaming services, tv services, etc.
5. So how come I can semi-retire at 40, yet millions are struggling over their tv, internet, streaming, even Starbucks bills?
New generation grew up without Fatwallet, and obviously too much Tiktok and Netflix....
...
That said, has anyone over the years compared electronic vs analog timers?
Which fail more often?
Which catch on FIRE more often?
Any electric/static interference with the devices plugged in, esp. Nearby radios?
