Should I grab this for a Metabo 12" sliding saw ? Will it work with the Metabo ? Seems like a good price

I have used multiple non-ridgid miter saws on this unit with no issue and would recommend this unit.

I assume it would work, however a 12 inch saw with slider is pretty heavy. Sometimes you need a piece of plywood or longer bolts to attach properly. A foldable one with bigger wheels would be easier to move around. If it is staying in one spot it will probably be ok.

I have it on mine. My issue is that it has to be leaned on something else to stand it upright. Other than that it works great. Get longer bolts too, the ones they give aren't long enough to mount the saw effectively.

Awesome stand. I picked mine up in 2020 for < $80 during a DTO sale. It was on sale May 2022 for $130 shipped, which was the lowest I had seen it in awhile.

The one tough built makes for sure looks legit. Nice to catch that on a slick..

I have had this one for several years now. It's awesome but it is kinda a beast. Sometimes I wish I had something a little more compact. For example, I have to turn the larger one sideways and work it through doors rather than just wheel it through.

Having said that, I now have a larger garage I keep it in so it's not as much of an issue. It was kinda a pain when I kept it in my basement storage room and had to "work it out " every time I wanted to take it out for use.

Just something for some to consider.

Edit: May be the big 12" Hitachi Miter I have mounted on it as well. I forget exactly. Been a while. I didn't have the issue though with a cheapie Craftsman stand that is the same style as this which I had it mounted on for the first few years. So perhaps a combination of the two.

I've got that stand and it is very nice. Highly recommended.

If you buy on line from HD, they will price match themselves for 30 days (I think). I have done this and twice had them match an item at a lower price. 5 minutes on line and it is done.

Anyone using this with a Hitachi 12" compound miter with the 1 offset thicker mounting location front left? The 3 shallow mounting locations (left rear and both right) lines up with the mounting tracks fine. The front odd ball that has a thicker mounting location is offset and doesn't line up with the mounting track.

Seems stable enough just kinda dumb on Hitachi for designing it offset. I'll also need to change out the left rear mounting bolt for something with a flat head at some point. It causes the saw to hit past 45. Never use the past 45 range so really isn't a big deal.
