Best Buy [bestbuy.com] has 65" U8H down to 899.99. Not the lowest all time price, but a sale on one of the best reviewed TVs in this price range if you're in the market. EDIT: This matches the previous lowest price from Amazon and Best Buy.

Amazon [amazon.com] also has it at the same price.

Also available at PCRichard [pcrichard.com]

Also available at Walmart [walmart.com]@ $898

These TVs, up to this point at least, always have issues. 4K120 gaming is an issue, banding & posterization are issues, etc. This set uses the same SOC as the 2021 U8G (which is also 8 bit FRC panel), so while they added mini LED tech to this U8H it still has some of the same issues.

Basically if you've never had an OLED or QLED, you'll tolerate the issues because the picture quality is a massive improvement in most cases. If you have experience with QLED/OLED you might find the issues unforgivable.

The U8K dropping this summer should have a different SOC so it will be interesting to see if some issues are mitigated or remain. Hisense is gonna be in a tough spot if QD-OLED moves closer in price…if I can get a QD-OLED for under $1500 I don't know that I'd buy a Hisense ULED/MiniLED for $1000 (even though they keep improving it).
I have an older "premium" Hisense - the H8G from late 2020. Picture quality is fantastic esp. for the price. My brother got the same model and neither of us have had any issues.

One thing to keep in mind though: do not expect any reasonable software update support. Mine is still stuck on the Feb 2021 android security patch. I reached out to their support to see if there was a later update that wasn't showing up OTA, and they sent me an update file timestamped Mar 2021 so I didn't even bother installing it.

That's about half a year of security update support from when it was released to market.

If you get this, I would recommended against connecting it to the internet and instead using a streaming box/stick that doesn't leave a hole in your network.
Any concerns that this isn't a true 10 inch panel and instead an 8 bit with FRC? I understand the reviews at sites like Rtings are great, but lots of user reviews out there showing issues with banding and posterization on this TV.

Well yes, which is why the price on this is dropping. The question is whether and how far the price will continue to drop before stock is cleared for next year's sets.

The 65" U8K certainly isn't going to launch at $900.

Just wish Samsung would add support for Dolby Vision. Some people say they can't tell the difference, but I've seen them side by side many times and the DV just pops more. That would make it a no brainer near the same price, but in its current form it's anything but, for me at least.
My eyes think the better TV always looks better..no matter the format
In my opinion, the picture processing and color is better on the Samsung

Yes it would be nice to see them side by side showing Dolby Vision...but the Hisense showing Dolby Vision and the Samsung QN90a showing HDR10 and the Samsung is only $100 more, then I am going Samsung all day long

On paper U8 series are super bargains it in reality they have tons of video issues and they also have high failure rates after talking the Best Buy floor Tv guy.

Just go with any OLED around $1000-$1500. O comparisons and once you go OLED you will never look back.

Be warned that these sets are extremely fragile. My dad and I hung the 75" version last week and barely touched the top of the screen and that was it. Ruined.
Ouch. We're you able to have it repaired?

Nope, Amazon let me return/refund. You're pretty much screwed if a panel breaks. The new one is great though!

i helped purchase this 65 inch for a friend. i dont think its worth $900 given the motion handling issues. there is a bit of posterization that I can visibly see. there isnt even 24p support out of the box. for $700 and below the TV would be a bit more compelling

that being said, if you are strictly using this tv as a streaming content device its great. its plenty bright and easy to calibrate (using prosumer devices like the i1display pro plus colorimeter and i1pro rev E spectro using calman). Youtube HDR looks phenomenal on this TV

comparing this to a 55 inch QD-OLED S95B i got for $999 (helluva deal imo), the S95B is in a league of its own.

If youre willing to wait, I would wait for QD-OLED to go down in price as it really does fuse the brightness of mini-LED and color accurate / deep blacks of an OLED.

I wouldnt worry about the S95B complaints about the firmware its way blown out of proportion by gamers.

This is poor advice without knowing the space it is going in.

I bought an LG C1 and placed it in my living room. I took it back. It was unwatchable in the day time and pulling the curtains closed to watch TV was not my cup of tea.

I also didn't care for the black crush that completely ruined older films.

I kept the c1 for two wks then returned it.

I just couldn't get over how dim it was.

Go OLED IF your space can allow you to enjoy the benefits. Ie it's a dim room OR you don't mind closing your curtains all the time.

I do have an oled in my bedroom now and it is excellent in there but my bedroom is extremely dark.
