Come on. Do not add pre-conditions to earn more. We are talking about no pre-conditions to earn 2% cash back on everything purchase and you just can't find the card to earn more. If you like conditions such as annual fee, member to open a bank account etc, that is a different thing. People may not like those conditions.

Spending $500 to get $200 bonus and earning 2% cashback on everything is not good enough? Find one to earn more than 2% cashback on everything. Can you?

Has anyone been able to get the card with the unemployed checked? I've been able to get credit cards at other banks being unemployed but I don't want to risk a hard hit to my credit score if they have a habit of denying unemployed statuses.
My credit score is like 810 and they want me to mail them pay stubs? So strange, never had any cc or bank acc ever ask for that. I have 0 in past due bills too.
Could be to prevent identity theft. They want to make sure it's actually YOU that is applying for the card.
Now that most cell companies charge you extra if you pay your bill with a credit card I'm not sure the extra coverage the card gives you is much of a benefit anymore.

I'll add that this is the ONLY non-fee Visa card, other than the Citi Costco Card that let's you earn 2% at Costco. Add the Executive Membership and you're earning 4% at Costco... Pretty damn solid!
Worst bank ever! Customer service is basic. Don't expect issues with cards or claims to be resolved in time. Rude reps who transfers the calls or hangs up. Look at their interest rate and Take your money elsewhere.
Yes. Because then you're not only paying off the debt and interest rates, but using a credit card to make some payments to re-establish better credit.

I get it. Some people just have to be the canary AND the ass!

If you have sufficient status with BoA you can earn 3.5% plus the 2% exec via one of their VISA cards ($2500/quarter cap)
Or with a different VISA card (also no fee) you can earn 2.625% plus the 2% exec with no cap
Plus at least half the year you can get 5%/5x UR there on at least one of Chase Freedom cards ($1500 per card and you can have multiple cards) as well as Freedom Flex and Discover (you'll need to filter those through buying Costco cash card on the website since the last 2 aren't VISAs but this still works fine)
I have Old bad credit (charge offs etc) from decades ago.
But want to use a credit card to pay off a delinquent utility bill to rebuild my credit.
Would this card be good? Or too hard to get?
Or any suggestions from anyone?

Is a great resource for best current offers on cards- it's not always 100% up to date but a lot better than anything else I've found.
