It may say diesel on the bottle, but it has many uses. It is a high quality heavy duty oil that is useful in all sorts of small engines. I use it in my generator, mower, ATV, tractor...some people use it in gas engines. It has a higher zinc content which is great for protecting engines. However, that same zinc content could possibly cause problems for catalytic converters.

If you have an engine without catalytic converters, I would recommend T6.

The stock turbo for the ALH would rarely require rebuilding just cleaning. I would not due an EGR delete on the ALH for multiple reasons. Check tdiforums.

Good deal but I need the VW 505.00 for my ALH TDI. I don't see that this one has been tested for it on the back.

I've been running this in both my PD BEW and BRM. No issues.

Egr has been deleted in both. Vnt17 upgrade on the BEW.

The T5 doesn't have any friction modifiers in it and a decent amount of zddp so it's a good choice for motorcycle engine oil where the engine & gearbox share oil [ie: most J-brand & Euro bikes, MotoGuzzi & Harleys excluded.]

I'll probably pick some up, even tho' none of my bikes are running right now... [sob!]

01' ALH here. Last one sold with 365K miles, current one is 254K miles. Been using this oil.

Looks like 3 pack is OOS. Will need to buy individuals.

Careful! It's not easy to rebuild these turbos as they run at a much higher RPM then non-VNT turbos. The balance is tricky.

Huh? Always delete egr, check TDIforums. I've had lots of TDIs, always get rid of the EGR.

I do agree with the turbo though, I've cleaned lots in place without issue. The only problem is the VNT arm does where out after a while if it's been stuck for long periods.

I do miss my ALH days, but went with a gen3 Prius and can't really say I want to go back. I do have a 2013 Touareg TDI though to fill the diesel void haha.

The company that rebuilt it only rebuilds turbos. They purchased a kit directly from garrett and they have a v s r balancer on site

It's been said by some that full synthetics are too slippery for motorcycle wet clutches, but I've been running it in my 2002 Honda GL1800 for many years with zero issues. With oil change intervals at 3000 miles, my vehicle engines stay spotless internally and seem to run forever before showing any signs of age.

Almost same story but used 2007 Cbr1000rr bought in 2012 ran this exclusively since 1400miles bike now has 22k with no clutch issues. Also the oil used to carry the Jaso MA rating for wet clutches but I believe the rating has been removed. Haven't done an oil change yet this year. But I will continue to use it regardless.

On my 7.3 Diesel I run T6 5w-40 in winter and swap over to 15w-40 in summer time for Texas heat. Also run T6 5w-40 in our Ecoboost but was pretty hard to get a while ago.
