Huh isn't this the 2021 version? The 2022 with DDR5, Ryzen 6900HS, and better display for $999 is the far better deal.

The actual deal is that this means the open box excellent price is $750.
I don't think it's automatically a bad choice to get this because being slightly less powerful could mean better thermals which seems to be the biggest issue with the g14.

Also it's a 3060 instead and at this level of gpus, dlss is a massive advantage. Along with better drivers (apparently)

The only actual problem is that it's a 1080p screen instead of the qhd but it might be worth it for the savings. The newer model isn't powerful enough for smooth 1440p 60fps anyways. Correct me if I'm wrong though

False. This has 6gb vram compared to 8gb in the 2022 as well. 2022 has a beautiful 500nit screen too

Just picked up an open box satisfactory 2022 g14 for $830. Returned the g15 AE strix deal from last week as my open box unit looked amazing, but the CPU fan was a dud and failed. This g14 has a webcam, looks dope although wish it came in all black. is super light and runs destiny 2 at 1440p max settings over 60fps. Runs cod modern warzone over 60fps as well I believe 1440p max.


Selling my 2020 g14 if anyone is interested with a 2060max-q

This is previous thread. It has been 999.99 multiple times. they may even drop it to 899 soon depending on inventory. but 2023 version is already out so they may not as well.
