For whatever reason takeup of UHS:II has been slow so vendors started using DDR208 which uses fhe UHS-I interface and bumps up the clock and data rates.
Not all USB reader/writer adapters have support for DDR208. Samsung usb adapter does so it can reach the data rates Samsung claims.
If you stick the pro plus sdxc in a reader or device that only supports UHS-I without the unofficial DDR208 extensions, the interface would limit the card to around 104 MB/s even though the card was capable of more.
I wonder how many people don't know this and just claim they got fake samsungs when their benchmarks don't hit 160/120. I have gotten plenty of these from Amazon and they have all been legit.
My simple way to tell fake from real is look at the side cut and see if the underlying material is white or black. The Pro Plus i have gotten are all white. I have read some people claim the forgers don't want to spend the extra few pennies to match the material so they just take black sdxc's and print their forgeries.
USB 2.0 is only 480 mbps so it would be a limiting factor since that translates to about 50 MBps after overhead.
what stops bestbuy from reselling their memory cards from those who bought fake on ebay then exchanged in their stores?
