I have this. Good for work. Can be amazing or frustrating for gaming. Just doing expect to buy this and have every game work great without configuration.
Main reason is many games struggle on properly optimizing the ultra wide resolution. Poorly optimized games either don't support it all, fisheye the edges or they actually just zoom a 16:9 in and then just cut off the top and bottom to make it fit (instead of just extending the sides)
Microsoft power toys is a must and many poorly optimized games I just play in a center window.
When games are optimized for it feels like you unlocked a cheat code.
Also don't use it for streaming in full res.
If you don't like messing with settings you may be better served with a high end 4k monitor, or 3440 widescreen.
Different model.
The way I justify it is that 2 comparable spec 27" monitors (which is what the screen real-estate is equivalent to) and a monitor arm will run you $800-$1000 at least.
And once you have worked on a single, contiguous ultrawide screen you realize it's much more than just novelty of having 2 monitors in one. Much smoother to work on, and much more flexibility in window layouts (for example you can do 3 windows across if there's no split in the middle). Combine that with added immersion for gaming and the general 'wow' factor and the extra $400 is an easy sell for me 😉

Dear lord, this behemoth alone costs more than my setup!

Just bought one of these privately, it is an awesome monitor. Just trying to get used to the screen positioning and how to use RDP without doing the full screen and use as multiple monitors.

Here is my rebuttle to this, two comparable 27" monitors is useless, you don't need two 240hz monitors in virtually any situation. You will want a high refresh monitor and a second productivity monitor, possibly vertical. And if you have a work issued laptop, you may not be able to install a third party window management tool. So you could be limited to native windows 10 snap functionality. Frankly, if productivity is a primary objective, this is just way overpriced for what it delivers. For gaming, if this is what you want, dont try to justify it with productivity benefits, just go for it.
This is NOT a deal. I got this new NEO G9 on BF for $1100 and it's been at $1400 on the regular. I returned mine because of QC issues but I would advise to hold off on this model as they're not worth more than a grand right now, especially with the new G9's that are releasing very soon (announced in December). This is NO DEAL.

I second Microsoft Power Toys with Fancy Zones.
