I have one of these. The sliding mechanism eventually gives out and you're left with a flash drive that retracts when you try to plug it in from either side. You can still keep it from doing that by blocking the rail with a finger but still frustrating.
Seems to be about normal/regular price these days (per CCC). Pay no attention to the $60 "regular price".
I have one of these, and it's a pain to use. They don't lock into place very well, so when you go to insert it into a USB port, the USB stick goes back into the casing. Stay away from this design in my opinion.

To everyone that says the mechanism gives out, you can hold the bump to keep the USB connector out while plugging it in, correct?
Or do the connectors fall off the rail system so we're left to shucking it?
You can hold the bump, but not all USB ports are easily accessible. It was always a pain trying to plug it into the back of a desktop with other USBs connected. I only tried shucking when I was about to throw it away.
