This is the cheapest deal I've seen so far.

Buying from Samsung charges tax on the full price of the device. Picking up from BB B&M only charged tax on the $250. YMMV but worth a try.

No free memory upgrade to 512gb. With regular offer at 512GB free upgrade, it is $427 with education discount comparing to $449, hence not good deal for 512GB version. But good deal for 256GB.

The biggest upgrade is the 8gen2. I own both s22u and s23u, the s22u is constantly a hot potato while s23u is at most warm under heavy load. Other than the processor, the battery life is a huge improvement. At $200 difference probally it makes sense to upgrade but not over that.

They ship you your new phone with packing material. Some soft sheeting and a lot of cardboard that is long, shredded like a pair of 80s jeans, rolled up on the new phone. A fedex return label will be inside. You will need to tape it to the outside of the box, on top of the original label (or remove the original label and apply new one).


Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.


Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.


Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

I'm finally getting the $224.99 price in the cart (had a $25 promo pop up today) without $100-$225 being added to in in the cart. But eh, with $100 in taxes, this will be $325, and I just got my S22 Ultra in May for $400 with ear buds after trading in my Note 9, so I'll hold off a bit to see if a better deal pops up...

Yeah the 256 was 99.99 and the 512 was 199.99 when I finally went back later to buy it it's at the prices they are set now 😭😭😭

Yeah. Thanx. I paid $644.99 last year for the phone I have now (S22). They offered $750 used. With this trade, they basically paid me to use it and I made 100 more than I paid....for a year old used phone.

I guess it makes up some of the emotion for missing out on that 1000 4090 graphics card. I have been looking for 4090 deal for months and that one slipped right past me
