6950XT is a better choice over the 7900XTX because it's cheaper and can play just about the same games on high/ultra max settings.

I'm so glad that I held the line with my gtx 1070. It seems like every week now there's a great deal on GPUs. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger. But I think I'll wait just a little while longer...

Although I have the money to buy this 6950 XT and I've considered pulling the trigger on this card for quite some time now since buying my 6800 XT almost a year ago, I'm currently on the fence b/c one side of me thinks that the 6950 XT's price could come down a bit lower, but another side of me thinks a/b whether this card will be sold out or not available for sale at this price a month from now. Sucks to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

The next level up from this which is the 7900 XT still goes for $750 too for only 14% more performance for $150 more (not worth it imho).

You're right on that. Anyone else curious just look at the benchmarks and history.

So far seems like AMD want current cards gone so they keep prices high on 7000 series which are not a big performance jump
