C3 is barely an improvement from the C2 and doesnt have the MLA panel in the G3.

Much better off getting a discounted C2 or springing for the G3.

Until Samsung drops their Dolby Vizion protest, it's a non starter. Too much content is already in DV.

One thing to note about the rtings review of S90C is that they used the 65in Model. The 65 S90C has the same panel as the S95B. Probably not gonna happen, they are competing proprietary HDR metadata formats.

They highlight in bold the TV sizes that were tested. In both those reviews you posted the 65 is used. Its known that the 65 S90C is the S95B (1st gen panel) and the 77 is the S95C panel (2nd gen Panel). C3 vs S95C is still the most accurate review for S90C at 77 but DYOR for those interested.

Hence why I said if you believe that, I gave their comparison of those two panels.

IMO a bigger decisions to consider, what's your main content & DV vs HDR10+.

If it's streaming, LG seems like it might be the better choice.
DV is much more prominent, how important it that to people.

I would also point out raising the brightness increases the chance of burn in also.
Most people do not calibrate their displays.

Tempting, but I think it's next year where we hit diminishing returns on improvements until the next big breakthrough. Last time it was like 2015/16 when this occurred.

2024/2025 is going to be a great time-frame to get a new unit to last for 7-10 years. Also including 4k or 8k USTs that use a 4k chip vice current ones that shift to 4k.

Or…get the Sony A90J Master Series 65 inch for $2200. Master series panels are hand picked and calibrated for the best color accuracy out of the box. It's also an Evo panel with a heatsink.

After going to a 77" OLED, I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the 65" last year. 77" is so much bigger. I love having 77" OLED. PS5 on it is fantastic

Those disappeared quickly a few months back. I was able to pick up a 65" for $1500 from the discount site that shall not be named. My friend wanted one soon after and was SOL.

Sam's Club has the 77 marked down to 2k right now.

Edit- In store today in KC. I'm on the hunt for a 65" but can only find the 77".
