I bought Elegainz rack back in Feb for $170. I think Hulkfit, Balance Form, and Elegainz are pretty much the same product just different branding? https://slickdeals.net/f/16392949-elegainz-power-cage-1000lb-capacity-with-j-hooks-and-safety-spotte...

Here's my honest take after 4 months of use:

- This rack is sturdy enough for pull-up, but it may wobble a bit. Will notice much more when doing dips. Some people recommend installing the pull-up bar on the inside of the rack to prevent possible tilting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkzZwFMHQxM
Additionally, I recommend getting some 3/8" washers as suggested by another user on the Elegainz post
- Can buy accessories from Hulkfit, Balance Form, and Elegainz to work for this. I bought some Hulkfit weight plate holder
- Expect paint chipping
- Overall good budget, nothing much to dislike about it.
- Added the lat pulldown as well. Same price from Feb. Notice cage is Elegainz and lat attachment is Balance Form but compatible: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Balanc.../725090507

It has been at $199 for the last few weeks. Now it is $10 lower.
I wonder if this one is better for 60 bucks more? https://www.walmart.com/ip/ProGea...irect=true
that one and the fitness gym from amazon looks almost indentical selling at the same price , might grab those instead. More reviews and seems more sturdy

I have this. Good for the majority of lifters. Sturdy and a good value at this price. Just note the box will come pretty beat up (they wrap it in plastic film to hold together). Also, it can take a while to ship. There are a bunch of add ons available on Amazon for pretty cheap (pull down, weight holders, etc); look under Hulkfit brand. You'll need the 2.35" size peg for this.

Does the lag pulldown attachment come with weight plates? If so, how many weights? Thanks.

What are the washers for and their advantage? I have this cage and it's great but need to retighten every so often

It's been cheaper than this for quite awhile over the past year as someone else stated. I believe 160s is the lowest I've seen and it was there for at least a few months. So I wouldn't call this "slick".

If you're going to buy the Lat Pulldown anyway, isn't this a better deal?
$254 + tax for cage and lat pulldown

If I were to need to transport this frequently, is it relatively way to break down and put back together?

For any regular home gym this is a great deal. At this stage its had plenty of reviews and well tested. Possibly the best bang for you buck for a brand new rack.

Unless you have a flatbed truck you can easily toss it on since its not that heavy you would have to disassemble it fully. Only 16 bolts but with an impact drill and wrench it could be fast after doing it a few times. Would be faster and easier with 2 people though.

Looks great but prefer pull up bar to be straight. For some reason my shoulder hurts when angled.

Wow, phenomenal deal. I have a half cage (2 verticals) and love the lower profile but this is next level if you have the space. I've read the pullup bar can be mounted upside down if you need the headroom, too.
Yep I have mine mounted upside down, it's perfect.

is this sturdy enough for pull ups?
I'm 260 and it does fine for me.
