Agreed. This is probably the cxheapest RTX 4070 deal, and that too with a proper Core i7 and a decebt 100% sRGB display, Thunderbolt 4 port and a MUX switch.

I have owned this for the better part of two weeks, it's awesome and a much better deal than the 3 year old Zephyrus that people are all hyped about. Sure it's 1080P and DDR4, but neither of those things have affected the laptops ability to perform. I owned that 14" with the 3060 in it, and it got way too hot, plus it had issues with rebooting when using a TB3 connection.

I've been on the hunt for something for a while and this is by far the best bang for the buck I've seen. This will rival the performance of a desktop with a 3060 in it and will blow away anything else at this price point.

There is a great best buy review that mentions battery life optimization but you get around 9 hours of battery life on eco mode.

Build quality maybe not the best?

Excuse my ignorance on the topic but when it has "140W" ,does that mean some laptops will have the same card but potentially less Wattage and wont be able to support the card to its full potential or something?

Like will a laptop have a RTX 4070 (120W) not have the same benchmark numbers as a laptop with a RTX 4070 140W?

Just curious. I've been out of the PC Specs world for a a while.

You'll see some crazy examples of this in "creator" laptops with X050 GPUs with 30w of power that are marginally better than integrated graphics.

Someone on a previous post said this card can't run at max power, but the specs seem to indicate otherwise? Anyone have a comment on that? Given the listed hrtz using boost the specs seem to put this thing at full powerish (I'm fuzzy on what full power is for the chip)

I believe all 4070 GPUs are software locked to run at around 100w max or so. So the "full power" part that was actually a big deal on the 3070 laptops aren't as much of an issue now, perhaps not an issue at all.

Generally speaking more power=more graphical potential+heat. If the heat is not abated some way through a decently cooling chassis then it will throttle=less graphical performance.

Lots of reviews from main YT sources show the 4070 (and 4060) capping fps gains at 90-100w. So there is no advantage to higher watt 4070s.

This is a great deal if you're ok with a so so screen. 300 nits isn't great. Might consider the Asus G14 with the 6800S for $1200 at Best Buy instead. Much better screen, 1 lb lighter and only slightly lower fps (dlss 3 aside)
