The other advantage is the USB 4 functionality on it once you upgrade the BIOS and hook up an eGPU to it. You also have the option to buy Asus' proprietary mobile external GPU that hooks up to this laptop.

The problem here is it's high resolution with a nice screen. But not enough graphic power. It needs a 4080 to push it. That's why it's discounted. Great for photoshop and standard graphics but not a worthy frame rate at 30+ fps. If you game with this you'll suffer quality med- low setting just to run native

Lenovo legion pro is the current gaming laptop to beat and is frequently on sale in these price ranges.

IDK how this rog is but the nitro linked a few posts up or a full plastic chassis. Life expectancy is not great.

Maybe it's just me, but why does a gaming PC come with a touchscreen? I cannot see its advantage.
I have one and I'm not a gamer. I just wanted a high spec machine. This is a great price considering I bought it msrp

The best buy model has slightly different specs. Be aware of the differences. I've had this for 8 or so months. It's. Great laptop. Very thin well speced. I bought it msrp because I wanted a high spec machine not for gaming.

How do you play touchscreen games without a touchscreen?

Neither of those have much at all to do with the market for a convertible touchscreen laptop... One of your links is also a 1080p 480hz screen which is absolutely useless by comparison. Not to mention https://rog.asus.com/us/external-...022-model/

Graphics power is fine... Not sure what you a playing that this isn't perfectly fine for. Also https://rog.asus.com/us/external-...022-model/

I don't disagree with the general advice on gaming laptops but none of the ones you are mentioning have really anything at all to compare against a laptop that folds backwards with a touchscreen... People keep linking and talking about totally incomparable products and saying they have better specs.

Those are 6 - 7+ lbs machines while Asus is 4.5 lbs. You can carry 4.5 lbs in your bag every day but you don't want with 6+ lbs. The usages are different.

Would this be a good deal for someone who wants one for browsing the internet, watching/streaming movies online?
