This is false. Here are a couple of articles if you're interested in why resolution and pixel density matter:

You are missing the distance factor.

A 32" 720p screen becomes "retina" at about 75" away. If you are closer than 75" from screen, your eyes could see more detail. Greater than 75" away you cannot.

It is a PROVEN SCIENTIFIC FACT.

So at a minimum, what is needed to drive this monitor and utiilize the full resolution?

It is just basically having a PC that has the right connections, or can integrated Intel graphics run this?

You will be able to access the full resolution, but depending on your CPU you may not be able to get 75hz. Some Intel CPUs integrated graphics max out at 60hz.

Overclocked mine 90hz. I've heard some have reached 110hz, ymmv.

My biggest complaint is the black smearing but that's to be expected.

Great entry level uw for the price. I've been using mine for years but am definitely ready for an upgrade.

Lol. Human eye can't process greater than 720p on 32 inch and below - scientifically proven.
You must be one of the people who says anything over 60hz can't be seen by the human eye also

(all hdtv can be used as monitors connected to pc by hdmi)
Yes, but on some you won't want to. Some HDTVs will always scale the image, or have a lot of input lag. Also, some like the $99 Fire TV on Prime Day don't do 4:4:4 chroma so text looks bad.

Chroma Subsampling
4:4:4 vs 4:2:2 vs 4:2:0

LOL, for a moment I thought it was a reference to "wounded monitor children" but then I realized in context it meant Walmart. LMAO

Careful with these. I like them, but they will sometimes try to send you used ones. It will appear brand new with packaging. Check on the back, unscrew, and check for dirt and dust. They can clean it up really nice, but they always forget that part.

Picked one up on Audubon, NJ for $80. All the locations here say "unknown" on brickseek but I decided to gamble and stop by. The unit was in the back and had no clearance sticker.
Brickseek reports Unknown and Walmart site says Not Available anywhere in the surrounding areas. Did you have to ask someone to retrieve it?

People familiar with the Walmart, does that mean this item is not sold at all in those stores?

If you click the ? next to unknown on brickseek, it says the following:

"Stock status of "Unknown" indicates that the item is carried by this store, however we are unable to verify whether or not it is in stock."

interesting this is front page now. I bought one for $129 almost 7 months ago and it was the only store in the metro area that had it in stock.
