Their system will not accept my home number. At the register their system will instantly check if it is a valid cell number, and knew that my home number was not. A temporary throw-away number will not work either.
You will not be able to give them a new phone number to get a deal as a new customer, unless you have a valid new cell number.
I was trying to purchase > $100 of parts on one trip, and I told them I could not give out my cell number that is used for business only. The manager even came over to talk to me, and would not take my home number, then I finally walked out and left the parts at the register. This was at the Fairfax, VA store.
The point of these deals are not to make money but to make you go in the store and potentially make you buy something else. They may be even losing money on this
Precisely why I went 5mins to close.
I'm stuck between choosing this
Samsung 970 EVO, Intel 670p, or Inland Premium NvME.
I was set on the Intel 670p, but the Inland is on sale and I'm not sure if the 970 is worth the extra $10
Thanks!!
Choose in that order.
The drive will outlast your laptop. No point spending more.
Is there absolutely no way to get these coupons without a physical smartphone (which I don't have and refuse to own because of contact tracing / security).
Suggestions on getting around their super-smart detection shenanigans? (best I've ever seen).
It really sucks because in modern times, VOIP is becoming increasingly prevalent and I *do not* want to give out my mobile phone number for some things because I am not interested in spam calls. I'm actually considering signing up for a month of prepaid service just to register with one thing. That would take the value out of something like this deal though (not that I have a Microcenter nearby anyway).

Yes it does. Tried and Google Voice didn't work. Counted as VOIP
Does not work. Counts as VOIP
I had my keys in hand ready to walk out the door but my number and my "friends" number already exist…was gonna pick up a WiFi card and SD card and probably a bunch of other stupid s&$? I don't need but better deals on amazon for those so….
Nada…

Jeez. We don't have White Castle or Whataburger in LA, settle down.
I'd say it's more loyalty. All these companies care about is data because they think it's gonna be worth something someday.
