Choose a side, playing as either the Empire or the Rebels. Strengthen the power of your starting decks and work to destroy each other's bases. The first player to destroy 3 of their opponent's bases wins the game!
Over 50 different cards allow players to take command of their favorite Star Wars characters, vehicles and starships, each with thematic abilities, such as the Death Star and the Rebels' base on Hoth.
Star Wars fans will enjoy bringing the iconic struggle between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance to life on the table. Easy to learn with lots of strategic elements, playerscan face each other again and again.
This action-packed deckbuilding strategy game set is designed for 2 players and is suitable for ages 12 and up. The average playtime is approximately 30 minutes.
Sweet. I had previously heard about this on this top 10 list of small games to check out (https://youtu.be/g_syFIXXb4U 12 min mark). Goin to get it thanks!
I own this, it's a really well executed 2 player game. It is similar to games like Star Realms, Hero Realms and Ascension where you have a deck of cards and "purchase" new cards from a central market row, accessible by both players.
One player plays as the Rebels, the other as the Imperials. Both decks and the market row contain recognizable characters from the Star Wars universe. The Rebel player can recruit other Rebels and Neutral cards. The Imperial can recruit other Imperial and Neutral cards.
The ultimate goal is the destroy 3 of your opponent's planets. Each player has multiple planets to choose from that all have different abilities while in play.
SW:TDBSCG also includes the ability to "kill" cards in the market row via bounty hunting, which was a cool new mechanic.
There is also a Force track that makes one side or the other stronger as they become attuned. Cards will allow the track to move back and forth all game.
If you've played any of the others I mentioned, this game will be a quick pickup for you.
It was a good addition to my collection and I definitely recommend it if you like deckbuilders in this style and the Star Wars theme.

Destroying bases, not planets, but yes. There's not much particularly innovating about this deck-building game, but it's reasonably cheap and plays well. I do like being able to get rid of my opponent's cards in the market row though.
We found it to be OK. It's a pretty light deckbuilder with some good ideas, but the game doesn't work a little too often for our taste. It's really swingy and games tend to have one player just run away with the whole thing. If you're not familiar with deckbuilders, you play cards from your hand to generate resources, then use those resources to buy better cards which get added to your deck.
As a competitive deck builder, it often ends up just being a race to whoever buys the first card that costs 6 or more (the big boys - Luke, Vader, etc). Whoever gets the first one of those pretty much always just keeps extending their lead so there's not much reason to keep playing after that.
The cards available to purchase are limited as well - 6 available at all times and the Rebel player can only buy Rebel & Neutral cards, Empire player can only buy Empire&Neutral. If one player ends up with only 1-2 cost cards available and the other player has 3-5 cost cards available, they really have no chance.
It's not a bad game (thankfully its quick) but more often than not it just feels like you're playing a game that's per-determined by the initial shuffle.

Thanks for the info!
Looks like a few online retailers have it for this price too but a lot don't offer free shipping under $100.
