Just know you will only have two keys and won't be able to make copies bc eufy don't know how what standard keys are.

you probably need to file down a sticky point in your door trim somewhere, one endemic drawback to these is aa batteries just dont provide that much power, so deadbolt travel needs to basically be completely smooth. not always easy to accomplish especially on older houses. it's the nature of these products.

extra annoying when i was trying to get a really tight weather/bug seal around my door. because smooth bolt travel and a tight seal are kinda intrinsically at odds, as the tight weather seal foam will naturally tend to push back against the door making a tight deadbolt fit.

Good deal. ANSI 3. For reference, ANSI 1 is best.

My experience is that fingerprints become unreliable in cold weather. Not sure if it's the device or my fingers. Seems to work better in warmer weather. I tend to fallback to numerical when fingerprinting fails.

Can you elaborate? The keys are oddball shaped and non-duplicatable?

Dry fingers don't help, mine does the same during winter. Usually during winter fingers are extra dry, as someone with one of the first phones with fingerprint readers built into the glass I can attest to this.

Solution I discovered with my fingerprint lock for the winter: just exhale on your finger before using the fingerprint reader. Gives it just enough moisture to work immediately

I have the fingerprint version that is not wifi.. I installed it early this summer and so far I love it. I would consider this one too if the fingerprint doesn't matter to you. It is solidly built.

It also doesn't work well when it's raining and your fingers get wet. Have to dry them to get them to work.

But other than that, the fingerprint reader is pretty awesome.

I think what would be perfect is the fingerprint version on the door near the garage and key version on the front door.
