The extremely popular 10" DEWALT jobsite table saw is on sale for $474 shipped and sold by Amazon. This saw gets plenty of attention here at its recurring sale price of $550 but this is the best price in quite some time.

Acmetools.com has essentially the same price with an extra $75 off a $499 or above purchase. https://www.acmetools.com/dewalt-...29163.html

Great deal if you ask me. I paid $561 including tax back in 2018 and I thought it was a great deal back then. Even cheaper now.

Ahh...thanks for the clarification.
Just a heads up.. the Amazon coupon appears to have gone away for me again today. So Amazon again shows the $474 without a coupon. I'm waiting for a live agent now and will let you know if they price match the $474 this time.

The live agent said it was against policy to price match a "limited time deal" from Amazon. That seemed ridiculous to me, so I called the Home Depot 800 number instead. The agent on the phone had no issues with price matching. He was able to adjust to his allowable $150 limit right away but had to get a supervisor to approve the additional $25 discount ($649 - $175= $474).

Additionally, I was hoping the agent would be able to apply my HD 10% off coupon. He was not able to do so but said to call the CC number after purchase to have them adjust for it. I have not made that call yet. The additional 10% was the only reason I went through the effort to buy at HD in the first place, otherwise I would have been fine purchasing through Amazon.

I just did it by online chat. Told the chatbot "price match" and was connected with a real agent.

Really easy.

Managed to snag an HD price match for $474 plus taxes during an online chat session, Thursday at 2 pm EST, in case anyone's curious. Both Acme Tool and Amazon had coupons at the time, and HD chat didn't even question the coupons. So, effectively, they gave me a $175 discount from their perspective. The online chat took about 30 minutes to get the discount and set up the purchase. Now, just waiting to see when the saw will be shipped to the local store in a couple of weeks. Not sure why they don't take it from local stock (I've asked before), but I guess it's their process

I assume you are looking at a 36-725T2 or similar. I'd go with the Delta. I own a previous version of DeWalt 10" contractor saw. While it is a great contractor saw, it has all the flaws of a contractor saw. First, the table surface. The Dewalt is made of aluminum with a coating. It is not very smooth, especially the miter tracks, you can feel the bumps inside the tracks with your finger. I had to sand mine smooth to allow my jigs to slide smoothly. You also can't used mag switch accessories with aluminum. The table size is also small. Not very good for ripping long stocks. There is not enough fence registration to get the ripping started perfectly parallel to the blade. Delta has a bigger, cast-iron table top that allows you to use mag-switch accessories on it. A huge plus. The weight of the cast-iron also minimizes the vibration from the motor, which is a problem for my Dewalt. I have to replace my zero clearance insert periodically because the vibration chews up the opening. A simple test to check vibration is to stand a nickel on its side on the table saw with the power off. Turn on the saw and see if the nickel still stands on its side. No contractor saw passes this test. Delta saws are hybrid contractor saws and should pass this test. Finally, the wing to the right of the fence gives you the option of adding a router lift and turn it into a router table. That saves a lot of room in a small shop.

If space was not a huge consideration, I'd trade my DeWalt for a Delta 36-725T2 immediately.
There is a Delta 36-725 on Facebook Marketplace right now going for 450$ It looks to be in great condition. The seller told me it is about a year old and was used lightly. Problem is I just purchased the Dewalt. I could return this one still in the box or try to sell it on Marketplace. Would you keep the brand new Dewalt or go for a used Delta for about the same price?

Difficult question to answer without knowing what you intend to do with your saw. For DIY home owners and moderately serious woodworkers, the Dewalt is plenty good enough. But if you intend to become a serious woodworker, then the Delta is better for you. Personally, if I didn't have space constraint, I'd take the used Delta over a new Dewalt in a heart beat. But, that's just me.

There is one downside to owning a cast iron table saw. The table surface may rust if you live in a high humidity region. You need to maintain the surface top periodically. Not a problem with stamped aluminum table top.

Well it looks like the Delta just sold on Marketplace so I think I will just keep the Dewalt. I'm confident I will be able to achieve whatever I want to achieve with the Dewalt anyway. I have a very small garage and neeed to be able to move it outside. Thank you for your input.

Just got HD ProXtra phone support to match it. They had to do a cart to cart comparison online but no issues. I was even able to get them to match the combo with the 10" blade and apply the CC coupon for a net price of $404 for the saw and the stand.

+1 i'm in the exact same spot, space is too tight so went with this.. so far pretty happy with the dwt after using it a few times. i did need to square the fence using the back/front lock bolts, all 6 needed very minor 1/16-ish adjustments and the 0 and 45 stops were off. blade to table was squared up. in all set up was 15 min assembly and another 15 alignment. biggest gripe in set up was saw to frame mounting is round tube to round tube. minor annoyance but everything else is pretty well thought out and that wasn't

Been looking at this exact saw! I justify it by saying it will take up less space in the garage because it folds up vs my old Craftsman saw.

I tried the same today with HD and they would not price match the coupon.

Does it take more space when in the box or out of the box?

Yes on the dado. This is a great deal. The fence is great and it's plenty powerful for all the usecases a general woodworker has. I figure I'll keep mine for a few years and see if my skills have progressed enough to justify something like a SawStop.

I'd say that a SawStop is most valuable for people who have the weakest skills, as they are more likely to do something dangerous and finger removing! They are very expensive but so is finger surgery...
