Bought this saw from Amazon open box six years ago which seems pretty bonkers. Had to sell it because of moving and not having room for woodworking, moved again and getting back into woodworking tools as part of fixing up this house. It's really interesting to see how nearly every higher level job site saw has since then become a clone of this even across the other handful of conglomerate tool makers. Of course it also seems like they have copied some of the shortcomings (which a new generation of this saw would hopefully fix) like the adjustments for the fence aren't great.

Was really hoping to not get into another table saw but there's so many things it's so much less practical to do without one. Had been thinking pretty heavily about the $350 Skil one but working in a one car garage maybe I just go this way again for the rolling stand. You still have to flip it over and collapse the stand to roll it around so it's still hefty, and it's not really "compact" stored vertically, but it's a nice option to have in a smaller space to wheel it around or out onto a driveway. Would be nice to get a basic cabinet saw that can roll but don't want to give up that much space.

A simple test to check vibration is to stand a nickel on its side on the table saw with the power off. Turn on the saw and see if the nickel still stands on its side. No contractor saw passes this test. Delta saws are hybrid contractor saws and should pass this test. Finally, the wing to the right of the fence gives you the option of adding a router lift and turn it into a router table. That saves a lot of room in a small shop.

If space was not a huge consideration, I'd trade my DeWalt for a Delta 36-725T2 immediately.
Your not comparing apples to apples here. OF course that delta is better. Its not mobile and costs more.

I've had that scenario begin to happen to me once. I called them, explained what had taken place, and they resolved the matter on the spot. I have a few dozen returns a year, as I probably average 4-500 orders a year. As soon as an item gets picked up or dropped off, I get credit for the item within a couple of hours. In the past 100 returns there may have been one or two hiccups. They were minor and easily resolved.

I do dislike how challenging it can be to get to a live agent. Amazon wants their bots to take care of 99+% of issues.

This is a great price. I was comparing this Delta at $549 with the Skil TS6307 and got the latter for $267 at Menard's after rebate. I may have gotten this one if it was at this price a couple days ago.

This is a fantastic saw that graces many job sites in my area. Honestly cannot think of another portable I have used that I like better and I have used quite a few. Definitely the lowest price I have seen. Got mine several years back for about $525. Nice find OP!

Compared to the rigid, saw stop, bosch, kobalt, Hitachi saws I have come across on jobs I feel the DeWalt out perfoms all, if others have the power they don't have the butter smooth rack and pinion fence. If they have the r&p they lack in power, or stability as the stand on this DeWalt is phenomenal as well. It's my favorite.

Obviously a cast 2 phase shop saw is going to put the DeWalt to shame but that's like a Corvette racing a escort. Though plenty people have centered their shop around this saw with a custom table built around.
