You must have the Lowes Credit Advantage card and search on Google for a lowes 20% off coupon from various sites they're $4-6 for 1. These 20% off coupons are only good with the lowes card with a maximum discount of $100.

I went to lowes yesterday and to my surprise the trimmer rang up $100 discount. I didn't have the spend $500 to get the $100, which is what I'm saying here which makes it pretty slick since these rarely go on sale.

I have this (bought for $250 from Amazon a couple months ago) and I absolutely love it! The speed load is nice, and the Line IQ is so much better than a bump head!

Can you clarify, it rang up for $100 discount on its own, or you used a 20% off coupon with the credit card and somehow got 30% off? If I ran to a Lowes right now, would it ring up with discount on its own?

It's not on sale on its own. You will need lowes card and coupon.Technically, the 20% coupon took off $100 which is really 30% off so I'm not sure why it rang up like that but it did. That's the only thing I bought on that receipt.

I have the bump head and the lower housing (the cap you bump) shear off pretty easily. The whole head assembly is about $40 and the lower housing $20. Definitely waiting for a good deal end of season to upgrade.
