Beat me to posting it haha. Always tempted to bite but the price keeps coming down! Chat with customer service for additional 10% off. Bringing down to 720 before tax

You would blow 50%-100%+ of your $800 budget on a receiver that could support this many Atmos channels, plus then you need all the speakers. Running wires into your ceiling for a "legit" Atmos setup is also a serious PITA, and in general, a massive HT setup just doesn't pass the WAF.

Sound bars have come a long way vs. the models that existed 10 years ago.

Don't think you'll see better than this without bundling. Have the 990B and continued impressed with it even 12+ months later. Have tried Sony HTA9, Ambeo, KEF LS50II and others. None have the entire package, ease of use, and truly immersive around, especially at this price!

Welp, I tried multiple customer service representatives and can't get them to price match since I purchased this back on the 3rd or 4th of this month. They keep pushing for me to rebuy but can't provide the 10% discount in cart. That being said, I would only save $17 which isn't worth the trouble to rebuy and return.

I'll have to call "order support" and see if they will price match me based on the already 10% in cart that I had last time which would put me at $720 plus tax.

It's wild how inconsistent customer service is based on some people getting a price match and others getting the finger.

Received my unit today and it will not go in the BT mode or show as available in the smart things app.
I've performed all the troubleshooting possible including updating firmware, resetting to factory, removing the app, giving more permission than they need, etc.

Using the remote or holding down the button for five seconds on the unit itself and never goes into pairing mode.

Called support and they walked me through steps I've already done and I'm expecting a call back on next steps.

On my crappy little low end Vizio sound bar I was using Arc, so I did the same for this and once I couldn't even power off my TV it was so frozen(speaker and tv)
When it's working though, sounds great. Very happy with the surrounds in default mode compared to what I was used to.

We will see what Samsung comes back and says.

I have a full sonos setup, playbar, play ones are rear and a sub. Would this be leagues better or should I upgrade to an arc + the new era speakers instead?

I got the 10% but it won't stack with my edu discount, it just corrects itself to use only the edu discount 😒 Well the 1st guy I talked too told me he put in a request for a $50 promo so guess I'll see if that will stack when it comes through

Does anyone know if I can still use my Samsung account that is tied to my Gmail email to login and make the purchase my friend who has an active edu email is going to let me use his but want to be able to pay for it using my Samsung finance account and keep it on my main Samsung account with my other purchases

I am currently using Sony TV (Bravia X850G) and it seems to work reasonably well using eARC. Dolby Atmos signal passthrough using VLC wasn't working initially, but it all of sudden started to work after rebooting the TV couple of times. That said, ATMOS pass through did work fine using KODI.
ATMOS does work with Netflix and Prime Video app works fine.

Might as well buy a legit entry home theatre system if you are going to spend this much on a soundbar.
