QVC is selling Samsung Galaxy A53 5G bundled with 1 year of Tracfone Unlimited service (Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text, and 24 GB for entire year) for $150.

S53 5G is a solid mid-range phone, with lots of desired features. Super AMOLED, 120Hz, 800 nits display; Corning Gorilla Glass 5; 6GB RAM, 128GB memory, and microSDXC; 4 years of Android Update.
Phone unlocks 60 days after activation, and then can be used on other carriers if they whitelisted model SM-S536DL.
The price can be dropped another $30 for new QVC customers by using coupon NEWQVC30. Even at $150, this is a good deal for anyone who need unlimited T&T and 24 GB data for the year. Tracfone 1 year Unlimited Service is automatically added once the A53 is activated.

Since the plan came with the phone, you will have a very hard time getting your plan back. They always want to see when you last BOUGHT the plan.
Why didn't they just fix it in the first place? You're correct they just don't care about fixing the problem once it falls outside whatever script they have. Any sort of common sense/logic falls on deaf ears. Their goal isn't to help you at this point, but make you give up through whatever means possible. The best recourse IS an informal FCC complaint which is very much free and was extremely effective for me.
Tracfone CSR is so horrible it should be criminal.

Unlocked phones use BYOP sims for TF (only cost $1). You need to activate new phone sim keeping current number & move active line to another phone.
I keep hearing that you have to activate the phone within a year of purchase, but other ppl have stated they've activated their phones well AFTER a year and still had their year of service intact (albeit the 1200 talk/text/2gb plan)
What is the DEFINITIVE deadline to activate these phones and is it written anywhere on TracFone's site?
I have a Tracfone that I keep in my car just for emergency purposes. It has ~ 20GB of data, but ~ 8 years of service days.

Even if there were a lot of data points, I still wouldn't trust Tracfone to continue their policy or to be consistent with applying whatever policy they do have. Everything to do with their customer service is a crapshoot.
